Summary
Miorine has sat there, hour after endless hour, fingers knitted together, unfocused eyes drifting to the black of space that does not betray how many days have passed. When she was out there in the depths, in the endless dark beyond the glass and steel that protects them from its thoughtless wrath, she had been so certain it was all for nothing. The glass of Suletta’s helmet was clouded, the oxygen no longer circulating as it should, and she had not responded no matter how Miorine screamed and shook her.
Miorine’s heart had not broken because it could not beat. Not until Suletta whimpered, twitched, mumbled through parted lips, and now all Miorine hears is the drumming of her own pulse in her ears.
Suletta’s eyes haven’t flickered open since.

"Ah! I c-can't a-afford something this e-expensive!" she whimpered, the price containing way more zeros than she was comfortable with. As much as she wanted to help and shield Miorine, she definitely couldn't afford to pay this much rent. Or even a tenth of it. Clearly Miorine had thought of that already, though, as she suddenly leaned in and whispered into her ear, her voice dropping a couple octaves and replacing a cat's hiss with a sultry purr. "That split is all on paper, Suletta" she explained, and Suletta felt like her name had never before sounded so good as when it just rolled off of Miorine's tongue. "I'll take care of everything if you protect me".
With barely suppressed thoughts that she'd let Miorine take care of anything and everything she wanted if she spoke to her like that again, the redhead signed with absolutely no hesitation.

Summary
Catra auditions for the role of the new antagonist in the hit teen drama show, Wolf Spring. She draws on every bit of anger, hurt and betrayal that still sits heavy in her chest, and she grabs the role easily. The catch? Adora plays the main character. Their troubled childhood looms over them, and Catra is unwilling to even talk to Adora. Because after all, Adora was the one to betray her so many years ago.
Adora does not expect to walk into the audition room to see Catra right there, after so many years. Even more confusing is still having no idea what she really did to make Catra hate her so much. Elsa moved her hand from her mouth and surreptitiously wiped her palm on the dark blanket she laid under. She left her hand there, unable to confirm she had gotten it clean. Her fever left her uncomfortably warm yet cold at the same time, but either way she needed to hide her hand. She cleared her throat. “Yes. It sounds worse than it is,” she lied, not wanting to worry Anna. It was a bad habit, and one she had been working hard to break, but she saw no reason to tell Anna just how much her lungs and throat burned with each cough. “The healers said if I rest, I should get better, just like the Royal Physician. It’ll just take time.”
Anna bit her lip, still worried. It was a couple of seasons ago that Elsa had first shown up at game night with a cough. They hadn’t thought much of it at the time, the progression of other symptoms gradual enough to escape notice. But when the fever had set in, Elsa did see the Royal Physician.
