“I don’t need anyone to take care of me,” Namjoon says.
Seokjin glances at him. At his blood stained flight suit, the dark circles under his eyes, his pallid skin, the collarbones jutting out from his near-emaciated figure. “Of course, starlight,” he says, and his tone lilts melodically, almost like he’s placating a child. “You have done very well for someone so young.”
(Namjoon wants a lot of things. A captaincy. A good night’s sleep. Comfort. Somewhere to belong. He finds all of that and more in his new position aboard the Starship Moonchild and its 6-member xenos crew. It’s too bad that Namjoon is exactly what they've been looking for, too.)

Hoseok likes the dark.
He likes dark, stagnant, warm places that make sweat bead up on your forehead and evaporate slickly into the thick humidity of air. Like this one. He likes to stay until the room forgets he’s there; absorbs him into its silhouette and its stillness. The corners that call to his instincts are the ones where creepy-crawly things congregate.
Hoseok is one of the creepy-crawly things, too.

“My coven gets what they want, Namjoon-ssi. They want Jungkook. Jungkook wants you. Therefore, I will have you, as well,” he says as if it is that simple. It probably is to him.

“I... may have met my soulmates,” Jungkook hedged, looking anywhere but at his best friend.
“And?” Jihoon pressed, not taking his eyes off the dish in front of him.
“And they’re really nice?” Jungkook replied, feeling the heat extend further down his neck at the weak admission.
Jihoon glanced over at him and shot him an unimpressed look. “I was under the impression we didn’t like your soulmates,” he deadpanned, glancing down at the cheerful writing on Jungkook’s hand again.
Jungkook sighed and leaned fully against the counter, “Me too.”
OR
Jungkook thinks his soulmates don't want him. His soulmates wholeheartedly disagree with that assumption.
