Mike grabs Will’s hands and tangles them with his own, blinking up at him through his long, dark lashes. His eyes are endless. Solid black, like the night above them. So shiny that Will can see himself, tipsy and happy, in the reflection. “I want to be stuck with you,” Mike whispers, like it’s a secret. “I don’t ever want to leave.”
Will sucks in a sharp breath, squeezing his hands. “Then don’t,” he whispers back, punched-out and honest. “Stay.”

Summary
Mike and Will have had a slow burn of sexual tension building for years now. Even at 20, they still haven't gone there. They've gotten close, but something has always stopped them. Finally, in a spur of the moment, Will explains to Mike why he's so uneasy about sex. With this out of the way, they can move forward to have what they've denied themselves for years in their caution.
Will has been abused, but he wants intimacy with Mike. He WANTS this. If it's Mike, he can put down the disgust and the fear. He can love and be loved, safely. He refuses to be owned by his demons anymore.
Mike doesn't want to be a pest, so he's always kept the space Will needs-- but what Will needs now is to be taken care of in a way he never has been.

is the one word that Will releases from his lips in reply. It’s not in a stunned way; he’s just returning the name. It’s been over three months now, and Will already looks older. His hair has outgrown a bit from his usual haircut, and his shoulders are broader. He looks great. Mike is in complete awe. You could say he looks like he’s seen a ghost, but really, it’s just how he looks now—pale, worn down, fragile from everything he’s been holding in.
