So now they’re here, Kaz staring up at the apex of the tent as the rain pitter patters against the fabric outside. Boss is pressed up impossibly close to him as they somehow manage to lie together in the cot, snoring right in Kaz’s ear.
Maybe he should’ve just let Snake sleep on the ground.

The main difference between Big Boss and Solid Snake isn't the number of eyes, or the age. Kaz thinks as he watches Dave casually touch Hal's back, leaning down to set a cup of coffee on the desk.
It's the carefree, almost easy affection he unleashes.

Summary

Summary
It wasn't until V tried to get up off the bed that the pain hit; the relic, malfunctioning once again. A sudden dizziness struck him, knocking him to his knees.
"Fuck, V." Johnny hovered anxiously over him, unable to help. He tried to grip his shoulder, to hold him upright, but it phased right through him.
He'd pushed it too far. It was dangerous to let Johnny in like that. He knew that.

The last sentence is an afterthought. He almost forgot that bit as it had barely any room on the paper after the loud and bold proclamation.
V is having a birthday and Kerry decided it was the perfect time for a tour. Why not? But why yes? At least he sent a present.

V isn't a fan of Johnny's ex-bandmate, nor Kerry's insistence on getting to know him. Maybe because he's reckless and sickeningly wealthy, or maybe because V isn't sure he even knows himself that well.

Summary
V had bared it all; his body to a lover, his weapons to a victim, and his loyalty to anyone in the underworld for the right price.
His truth, however, lay buried under layers of escapism and success, and it wore a familiar echo and a sharp tongue. He'd soon learn that whilst the city's noise could be drowned out, grief was another beast entirely.

There are many ways for a story to end. In one world, the Doctor dies. In another, the Regrator does.
Faced with an outcome that should not exist, the Doctor, a man who values knowledge above all else, retraces his steps on where it all went wrong. That, while accompanied by an unexpected variable.
