Exile is defined as being banished from one’s own country or home, though being applied in a situation where a group of mechs trapped in the metal breath fed up with two particular metal cardbots and unanimously deciding to exile said metal cardbots feels a little specific for a completely false situation.
Everyone was fed up with two specific metal cardbots and that was Heavy Iron and Black Hook, the solution?

“War?” The flier’s optics widened more and a weakly surprised noise came from behind them (him, probably, if going off of vocal inflection). “What war? When?”
Ratchet frowned. “The civil war we’ve been fighting for four thousand years. How are you on Earth and unaware of this?”
“Four thousand… impossible. Machina was destroyed one thousand years ago.”
“Machina? ...I am from Cybertron. Have you heard of such a planet?”
“No.” The flier cocked his helm. “...I think there has been a misunderstanding. You do not look like a Metal Cardbot.”
“I most certainly am not that.”

Because the outline was already written before the third season was aired, the plotline of this article spans only the first and second seasons, occurring prior to the events of the third season.
In short: Black Hook pines hopelessly, Heavy Iron screws up spectacularly, and then spends the rest of the story desperately trying to earn him back.
