And then he moves to pick up his discarded cane and Sieun’s body moves without thinking. Well no he does think, he thinks of that moment lifetimes ago on his door where Suho was right there and Sieun still let him go. When Sieun’s arms ached for Suho’s embrace, yet he still let him go.
No, he isn’t letting him go again. He grips his wrists and tugs at it gently. “What is it, Suho-yah. Talk to me,” his voice somewhere between the pathetic path of desperation and devotion.
He doesn’t care, not really. He would do anything for Suho, no questions asked.

The sudden sound jolted Sieun from his thoughts with a start. As Suho’s words finally registered, he felt his breath lodge in his throat—a sharp sound of disbelief and wonder bubbling its way up his chest—dying in his throat before it left his lips. His eyes flicked up, wide and almost afraid to believe what he’d just heard.
A… hug?
Slowly—ever so slowly—Sieun’s feet began to move. One step, then another. As if drawn forward by some invisible thread tied between their chests. As if Suho’s quiet patience was enough to keep the earth steady beneath him—keep him from falling to the ground before he even reached him.
Aka, how I wanted the reunion scene to go in the drama, complete with a sprinkle of inside jokes and memories from the previous season cause I like hurting myself :')

Sieun stood there, frozen mid-step, after answering a call when the white truck came barreling around the corner. The voice on the other end—a nurse Sieun probably had greeted in passing once—had been calm but final: Suho’s in a critical condition, she’d said. The world dulled even as the bright light from the truck nearly blinded him, and all he could think was:
I’m tired. I’m so, so tired. Maybe it’s fine if this is it.
But instead of the vast, never-ending darkness he had expected from the Afterlife, Sieun found himself back at the hospital. He stood at the edge of a hospital bed, blinking, confused. It took him a moment to recognize what he was seeing—or rather, who he was seeing.
Suho was there. Slumped on a chair, looking exhausted beyond belief as he leaned his head on the bed, but he was awake.

Sieun swings the door open and there stands Suho in his red and black windbreaker, his helmet under his arm. Sieun stares at him from under his bangs, still clinging to the door handle.
“What are you doing here?” he mutters. “It's nearing midnight.”
“I know,” replies Suho with a smile. He continues to look at Sieun with that warm expression. Sieun raises an eyebrow at him.
“Ok? Why are you here?” Sieun is far too tired for this, and his physics revision is waiting for him on his desk.
Suho just shrugs and lets out a short laugh.
“I got off work earlier today,” he says. “Thought I’d visit you. I don’t know.”
Sieun bares his bones to Suho in his kitchen, in the middle of the night, on a random weekday, under the pretence of having a cup of tea.
