Summary
The Phoenix symbolizes renewal, rebirth, and resurrection, emerging from the ashes of its own fiery death to be reborn anew.
This is what Robert Robertson the Third tried to see himself as: A Phoenix. After losing his identity and job as Mecha-Man, he has a chance to reemerge as Dispatcher of the notorious Z-Team, a group of dangerous criminals given a shot at being heroes.
And, while everyone else regards the Z-Team as a dumpster fire, a nuclear bomb just waiting to be set off, Robert sees something else—he sees pain, understanding, and above all, an intent to be better. He sees people who had always drawn the short stick, who bet on losing cards, and who were always regarded as less.
What Robert sees... is a group of Phoenixes.
And he'll be damned if he won't stick by every one of them, regardless of what anyone else thinks.
tldr:
Robert is highly emotionally aware and fiercely protective, refusing to give up on anyone in the Z-team, even when the stakes are high and tension is rising. They're all a bunch of fuckin' idiots, as Chase would say, but they're undoubtedly his idiots, through and through. She mistakes him for a real bard and then starts talking nonsense about "portals," as if they haven't been outlawed on the Continent for half a millennium. She gifts him magical dice, urging him to "save the White Wolf."
Julian, playing Dungeons and Dragons as the fabulous bard Jaskier, rolls a Nat 20 while trying to gain an ally in the murderous Butcher of Blaviken - and is instantly transported to a very strange world similar to the Redania of centuries past. There, he meets the real Butcher, a stoic and sarcastic Witcher named Geralt. Julian also quickly discovers that in this world, he has something that other bards don't: Jaskier the bard really does have magic, and quite a bit of it too - something that both interests and worries Geralt.
The Witcher and the bard's quest for answers brings adventure, surprises, heartache, magic, healing -- and maybe a little bit of true love.

The bard laughs, “So just because you’ve never seen them that means they don’t exist?”
“Yes.” Geralt says flatly.
“Agree to disagree.” The man says flippantly, “But I would love to hear more about the monsters you’ve fought.”
“No.” Geralt takes a drink desperately and finds he is almost at the bottom of his tankard. He contemplates whether it’s worth the coin for another. Probably not.

“Why Jask? Why would you do such a thing?” Pain is so evident on the Witcher’s face, Geralt should never look like that.

chap 26 there’s a nezu talk show part and that shit fuckin ate and left NO CRUMBS. kinda lost me when izuku went with stain but eh it a pretty interesting way to go about quirkless izuku and make it so his father was an actual part of his life, besides we love a support izuku especially when it comes to building a whole FUCKIN mech. though i wish there was some izuku & nezu, but i understand why their isn’t.
