“Hey Adora,” Catra rasps, her voice lower than usual. Adora blushes, “why’d you-” Catra cuts herself off to yawn, “why'd you transform?”
“I just wanted a better look at you,” Adora responds. Catra's face pulls into a frown and Adora has a realisation, “oh! I never told you. She-Ra has super vision. I can see things super well when I’m She-Ra,” Adora doesn’t mean to sound like she’s boasting, but it is pretty cool. Catra’s face stays frowning though.

“You kissed me.” Those three words coming from Adora’s mouth should sound perfect, after all the yearning Catra’s felt, but Adora’s voice was too distraught for Catra to feel warmth.
“I’m pregnant,” Catra revealed, watching Adora’s face crumple.
“You kissed me,” Adora repeated, this time bitterly. Catra’s heart sank as Adora’s eyes watered and her eyebrows furrowed, “you kissed me, whilst I have a girlfriend and you’re pregnant.” Catra opened her mouth but she was speechless. Slowly, she hugged herself, teary eyes, “I’m going.” Adora stormed toward the exit. Catra went to speak when Adora turned around, and suddenly Catra shrunk under Adora's stare. For just a moment, Adora’s eyes softened, the gaze that Catra loved returning, before her stare hardened. Catra blinked tears down her cheeks, trailing from her jaw to the floor.
“I’m sorry,” Catra said, and Adora walked out.

Summary
“Why’d you call?” Glimmer tried again, growing increasingly frustrated.
“I just wanted to talk to you.”
“Right, I’m hanging up.” This wasn’t a chat line; it was 911. There were people who were in imminent danger and this woman was clearly just wasting Glimmer’s time. This was the third damn prank call in a row, and she was quite frankly exhausted from her long shift. Glimmer’s hand slid over to the end call button when Catra inhaled quickly.
“I’m out for a drive, sweetie,” Catra rushed out in one trembling breath, and in the background of the call Glimmer heard a muffled, deeper voice. Suddenly, Glimmer’s finger froze above the button, her body halting as she came to a chilling realisation.
“Is someone dangerous in the car with you?”
“Yes."

An odd call to 911 reveals itself to be a disguised plea from none other than Catra, being held hostage in the back seat of a moving vehicle. Police Officers Adora, Glimmer and Bow race against the clock to find her before its too late.

Summary
Adora knows it’s best to leave Catra alone when she’s inebriated, especially considering how moody she can get, so she goes back to talking with Glimmer. Glimmer’s in the middle of a rant, going off about some professor that really irked her when the door unexpectedly opens. Glimmer cuts off at the noise and Adora looks over. Catra’s standing in her doorway in her pyjamas, but the twinkling lights on Adora’s plant-turned-Christmas-tree seems to have captured Catra’s attention.
“Hey,” Adora says softly, and Catra’s half-lidded eyes turn to her. Her pupils are slightly blown out, as they always get from small lights. It makes Adora smile.
“Can I crash in here tonight?” Catra asks, hugging herself a little. Adora’s lips part in the slightest, both confused and surprised.
“Yeah, of course,” Adora agrees.

“The patient is Adora,” Netossa winced as she spoke. Catra paused.
“You’re fucking- no,” Catra stammered in disbelief, opening the door to the operating room. Catra wasn’t squeamish- she was a surgeon, for God’s sake, she’d seen it all. But Catra flinched as she saw her wife on the operating table, gashes scattered across her body, her head bloody and her eyes shut; unconscious and unaware of just how wounded she was.
Adora was a wreck, her head covered in wounds and face pale as a sheet. Adora’s clothes had been cut open to access to her chest, Catra’s favourite dress of Adora’s torn in two to reveal her bruised and bloodied chest. Catra’s gloves had already been put on, she was in the gear, and the shift cuts meant that Catra was the only cardiac surgeon available.

“I was aware, yet I have not been informed of whom. I must mention, I did not know that there was a male inheriting the throne,” Catra acknowledged, “I was led to believe that Brightmoon was a matriarchy,”
“It is,” Adora replied, a soft smile on her face. Catra’s breath halted, trying not to let her eyes widen at what Adora was alluding to. She bit the inside of her lip
“Am I to marry a woman?” Catra questioned sharply. Adora leaned in closely, right next to Catra’s ear.
“Yes, your highness,” Adora whispered.

Catra turns back to see them steering wonkily, their motorbike driving in a zigzag despite its speed. A drunk biker who isn’t paying attention to the traffic lights.
It surges forward and straight past Catra and right towards Glimmer who’s still crossing.
Time suddenly slows for Catra and the first thing that comes to her mind is; what would Adora do?
Catra braces as she revs her engine, speeding onto the road and just fast enough to shove Glimmer off the path of the motorbiker. Catra has to swerve to avoid hitting a car. It’s too easy to lose balance.

After a stressful day involving getting fired and Adora contacting her, Catra takes her motorbike out for a ride to relieve her anger. When Catra sees Glimmer about to be run over, Catra narrowly saves her and ends up hospitalised as a result.
