Summary
It's always been the three of them.
"It’s awful how good he looks. Long sun bleached hair raked back at the temples, square line of a jaw so sharp to the cut. Swimmer’s shoulders, runner’s legs, mind clearest in solitary movement. Half into a worn out leather jacket he’s pulling on one-armed over a collared button-up, palm-sized mobile to the ear Sora’d pierced for him with a safety pin twenty summers’ worth of nights ago. That’s where Taichi goes now, too, back to one of those summers, and all of those nights."

Summary
Jou goes on a holiday he hadn't planned.
"Jou is aware Taichi is better looking than average, but he wonders if the world doesn’t exaggerate the measure of it, why it can’t get itself together enough to be more sensible in the face of this fact. The eyes that linger, heads that turn as he passes, this inexplicable draw of attention. Even the sun—at last emerging from rain clouds breaking at the end of the day—seems to follow him, pausing unnaturally on the horizon just to stay with that smile."

Summary
He shouldn’t pick up, really. It’s immature of both of them. Yamato had once thought that he and Taichi grew up together, but maybe they didn’t at all. His thumb hovers over the hang up button, but Yamato knows how this story goes, knows that he picks up every time.

Summary
Taichi gives nothing away, his expression even across his face. Doesn’t even blink. Yamato’s aware, in that moment, that he’s never seen Taichi at work, behind those closed Security Council doors. The person he is when he’s weighing the balance of two worlds, making the choices the rest of them wouldn't be able to stomach. That as much as he knows him, and loved him once, there is a part of Taichi he is still not allowed to know, because they both understand he would not love him the same again if he did.

Summary
“You know, we could always …” And then Kyle wasn’t smiling either. Stan knew he had to say something else, and fast. It was easy: I’m kidding. I’m fucking with you. But it didn’t come out that way: “Like other guys in our grade haven’t.” Kyle looked like he was going to either shatter into a million pieces or kill him, because it was a fine line, and he just said, "Only once."

Summary
Stan asked, “What would you say if I told you I got abducted by aliens last night? With Craig, Tweek and Cartman?”
Kyle raised his eyebrows. “I’d say that your wet dreams are getting weirdly specific and you should stop telling me about them.”
