Did I mention this was perfect?
I love this SO much. The show always made it a point to show us how noble Arthur was but we didn’t really get to see how his people reacted to that - how they saw him; if they thought him to be as kind and generous as he really was. And how wonderful is it that the fic shows us this, with a whole village of people who adored, believed in and knew him. It was also amazing to see a different kind of experience Arthur could have had where he was younger, which somehow made sense if you think about how conflicted he was most of the times in his adult years. A younger Arthur having happy childhood memories and Arthur bringing himself to share it with Merlin is the best thing ever and no fic set in the canon-verse that ties up the M/A relationship is complete without a proper magic reveal. As much as I enjoy angry, even bitter, confrontations between Merlin and Arthur, I also wanted it to be a simple conversation initiated in a setting where they were both deeply relaxed, trusting and comfortable. Where it became natural to ask the obvious questions and where Merlin can see that he wasn't alone in secrecy and pining.
Just read it ok.

I've seen this fic being recced a few times recently - and it deserves every rec out there and more to come.
Magic reveal fic. I loved how Arthur was given not just time, but also reason to accept magic and it was wonderful to see Merlin finally prepared to give it all up to change Arthur's mind on the matter.

AU take on 5x13; fix-it fic.
Resurrected!Arthur in modern era works very well for me - in fact, there's been a few wonderfully written ones floating around on AO3. This fic is for those of you and the part of me that is still bitter about how things had ended. There are many ways to do AUs. This one is not drastically AU in the sense that it only deviates from canon at the last possible minute. I like how there's closure in many aspects that we didn't get to see on the show. And of course, the M/A is absolutely lovely <3

Aww man I always made it a point to avoid WIPs but this was so much fun. Arthur as Batman and Merlin as his somewhat competent sidekick. The focus of the story is not so much of Arthur saving the world as Merlin trying to worm his way into Arthur's world. Now how do I bribe the author to continue this?

Summary
Mordred hesitantly moves forward again, clearly sensing Arthur’s reluctance is not a dismissal, and this time Arthur grabs him and kisses him fiercely. It looks rough and punishing, but that doesn’t seem to trouble Mordred, who lets Arthur move him as he wishes, who makes these soft, panting noises into Arthur’s mouth.
In which Merlin can hardly breathe under the weight of prophecy, and things seem to be spinning totally out of control.
