Summary
It was late enough that even in the bustling metropolis, few others were out. Doyoung held on tightly to her cloak, making sure the hood obscured her face. It wasn’t her personal safety she was concerned with, no one would dare harm one of Athena’s priestesses in the city bearing her name. The legal penalty would be steep, but it was the wrath of the goddess that most truly feared.
The walk down to the Agora from the Acropolis wasn’t long and though Doyoung had traveled this path countless times, each step infused her with giddiness. When she reached the Sanctuary of Aphrodite Urania, she took a deep breath and steadied herself.
Though it was a humble temple, especially in comparison to the one Doyoung helped oversee, she was no less overcome by a sense of awe. The statue of Aphrodite Urania was beautiful, as befitting of the goddess of love and beauty. Doyoung kneeled at the feet of the statue and removed an apple from inner pocket, along with a bouquet of red roses she’d hooked on her belt, placing them on the floor as an offering before saying a prayer. When she opened her eyes, Taeyong was standing there, even more beatific than the statue in the flickering candlelight.

Summary
In college, Doyoung's lack of experience was laid bare; something to set him apart from the constant hookups in his co-ed dorm, the way he walked in on his roommate with a girl not once, not twice, but three times. And while straight was still the default, his classes were filled with people of all genders and sexualities. He didn’t know what was wrong with him, the way his stomach knotted every time he passed a gay bar.
Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Taeyong, who graduated the year before him, decided to defer until they could start college at the same time, despite being on separate coasts. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Taeyong, despite being the best looking person Doyoung had ever seen, also left high school with nary a girlfriend in sight. Or maybe, it had something to do with the fact that on one night over winter break, Taeyong came out to him and confided that his first boyfriend had treated him poorly. Doyoung hadn’t known what to say, hadn’t known how to possibly grab hold of a single emotion, all of them swirling around his brain all at once. So he said nothing. Taeyong changed the subject. They hadn’t discussed it since.
And now it was summer.

Summary
Doyoung wasn't unfeeling. On the contrary, Doyoung was so sensitive that he'd worked hard at walling off his heart over the years, knowing that giving the wrong person access could be devastating; taking something delicate and letting it shatter into pieces.
When Doyoung met Taeyong during the holiday season, he was convinced he finally met the right person. Someone he could trust to hold the key to his heart.
But as the song goes, "Last Christmas, I gave you my heart, but the very next day, you gave it away..."

Summary
College freshman Doyoung wasn't really the type to get invited to a spring break trip filled with boozing, which is how he found himself here, with his parents at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico where the average guest age was about 55.
He meets Taeyong by the pool, thrilled to find someone his own age to hang out with. Taeyong, he also can't help but noticing, happens to be possibly the most attractive person he's ever seen. Which is a problem, considering Doyoung has been trying to avoid the entire matter of finding guys attractive.

Summary
Taeyong couldn’t stop thinking about the night when Doyoung finally unleashed the totality of his carnal powers. They’d never discussed it, and the way Doyoung continued to act exactly the same as he’d always had, extremely doting and oh-so-sweet at all times, led Taeyong to question the reality of his experience—did it even happen? Or was his own subconscious that powerful? That capable of harnessing his own desires into something extraordinary; something beyond the pale; supernaturally sensual to the nth degree.
The images of that night haunted Taeyong with a vulgar persistence, the ghostly specter of his own body, pinned to the bed, utterly consumed by the apparition of Doyoung. The spirit of the sensations–unlike anything any mere mortal could induce, overwhelming in their erotic energy, which had subsumed his very existence—had Taeyong hard on a regular basis, recalling the ravishing at the worst of times with the flashbacks shocking his system with impunity, turning him on to the point of pain when there was no relief in sight.
And then there was Doyoung, greeting him each morning with coffee and a smile, messy morning hair tumbling onto the top of his glasses.

Summary
Eight year Lee Taeyong was an orphan, conscripted into servitude for the royal household. He spent his days darting around the massive estate, running errands on behalf of the older palace staff. He had no memory of any family or any hope for a life that included anything resembling happiness.
Neocity’s Crown Prince, Kim Doyoung, was lonely, precocious child, in desperate need of a friend. As soon as the two boys met, they were instantly inseparable, with Taeyong being granted the “official” position of “Companion to the Prince”.
Over the years, the boys’ friendship turned into something more, a precious, adolescent puppy love developing between them. Prince Doyoung had zero intention of eventually marrying anyone else, any naysayers be damned.
When Taeyong goes into heat just before his eighteenth birthday, he panics, and ends up inadvertently advertising his condition to all of the kingdom’s insiders, including those who would seek to harm him and the Royal Family.

Summary
There's something odd about the small town of Delphi; with its friendly, diverse residents, pristine main street, and giant Catholic church that seems to preside over all of it. Newcomer Taeyong isn't sure what to make of it, especially about the church's priest, Father Kim, who shows a particular interest in Taeyong from the day he moves to town. Is there something more sinister afoot? Or is Father Kim simply excited at the prospect of shepherding a lost lamb towards the light of the Lord?

Summary
In the photo, Doyoung and Taeyong are standing with their backs to the camera. Taeyong’s face isn’t visible, he’s staring at a gorgeous vista, their reward for spending hours hiking up the mountain. Doyoung is captured in profile, a smile on his face, looking at what he deemed to be the most beautiful sight in the world.
They were young, fresh out of college and high on the promise of the rest of their lives. The road trip was last minute. Doyoung’s parents had gotten a new car and decided their old one wasn’t worth trading in, so it ended up with Doyoung. Taeyong had been the one to suggest postponing applying to jobs until the fall. They had all the time in the world to work. When would they have this type of time again? A real summer break, the kind that feels like an alternate reality, where the days are long and the nights are longer and it feels like anything’s possible.
Though they were only friends, Doyoung had long been aware of the charge in the air every time he and Taeyong were in the same room. He feared what would happen in the presence of a spark. Everything could be engulfed by flames.
Chilly, close quarters were the norm. It was only a matter of time before they needed to strike a match.

Summary
Taeyong feels unexpectedly lonely after moving into his own apartment. Not wanting to worry his family with a call in the middle of the night, he ends up calling Doyoung instead, falling asleep with his best friend on the line. They fall into a habit of calling each other at night for months, refusing to acknowledge this change in their relationship in person, god forbid it irrevocably changes everything between them.
Eventually, the calls turn sexual, with the pair engaging in regular phone sex for weeks, until Taeyong can't stand it for a moment longer.

Summary
Doyoung had to make this Christmas a special one. It was the last Christmas before enlistments started and everything would change. What Doyoung didn’t know, is that Taeyong felt the exact same way. As did the rest of the group.
The other members had a longstanding group chat that didn’t include Doyoung or Taeyong. Its existence didn’t serve a nefarious purpose. On the contrary, sometimes they wanted to discuss work related hypotheticals without worrying the two most worry-prone members of the group. And sometimes (more often than not), they wanted to talk about how blatantly, hilariously, painfully obvious it was that Doyoung and Taeyong were head-over-heels in love with each other. And this Christmas, after years of watching their friends flirt and blush, yearn and pine, they finally decided to do something about it.

Summary
Doyoung slams on the brakes. Something darts into the road in front of him. He knew there were deer in this area but he’d tried not to think about it too hard, to not burden himself with the extra anxiety. Thank god his reflexes were still functioning.
The thing freezes in the glare of Doyoung’s headlights. This is no deer. It’s bipedal, practically human looking, with shiny, leathery black covering most of its body. It has huge wings, orange and black, not unlike that of a monarch butterfly, sprouting from just near its shoulder blades. Its face is golden, or maybe it’s just reflecting the light, with giant, unblinking eyes. The first word that comes to mind, strangely, is “beautiful.”
It jerks, gripping its side as if realizing it’s injured. The more he looks at it, the more human it looks. What if it’s someone in some sort of elaborate costume? What if they’re hurt? Doyoung opens the door.
“Excuse me.” He sticks half of his body out of the car. “Are you okay? Do you need me to call an ambulance?”
It stares at him with those big, dark eyes. The blood drains from Doyoung’s face. The hairs on the back of his neck stand up. There’s nothing human about those eyes.

Summary
He starts undressing Taeyong, laughing a little at how he’s almost asleep despite standing up and how stark his tanlines are. He strips himself and steps into the tub first so he can help Taeyong in. “Take my hand, “ he prompts. “I don’t want you to slip.”
They sink into the water, sighing at how good the heat feels. Doyoung sits back against the edge of the tub with his legs spread, pulling Taeyong to sit in between them, his head resting against his chest. Doyoung can still recall the anxiety, the adrenaline coursing through his bloodstream every time he was in close proximity to Taeyong. That liminal space they occupied for far too long, keeping to the margins of friendship but outside the walls of everything else.
It all serves to soothe Doyoung now; the weight of Taeyong’s body, the softness of his skin, the steady beat of his pulse. How good it feels to live within these walls.
Doyoung grabs a washcloth and lathers it up with a bar of soap. He starts washing Taeyong’s limbs, planting kisses along his shoulder blades as he does. He’ll never tire of this, of caring for Taeyong. It could very easily be his life’s purpose.

Summary
This wasn’t the first time Doyoung and Taeyong had sex in the SM Entertainment building. It also, for what it’s worth, wasn’t the first SM Entertainment building they’d had sex in, either. The first time was several building ago, back when they were both still trainees. It was unbelievably risky—getting caught wouldn’t mean regular disiplinary action or a firm warning to be more discreet, it could have very easily resulted in both boys being sent home, their many, many, many hours of hard work all for naught.
They hadn’t thought it through that first time. Neither one of them really had any idea what they were doing and it was more awkward than anything else, the result of too many nights practicing till dawn and the last remnants of their unbridled, adolescent lust. For a long time, they didn’t acknowledge what had transpired between them, they let their relationship weaken. The other members noticed, but simply chalked it up to the nerves they were all filled with prior to debut. Everyone was a little on edge.
The two of them ignored the tension, the palpable sexual chemistry, until they couldn’t any longer.
And they’ve been together ever since.

Summary
As he and Taeyong were afforded more time together, Doyoung stuck to the older boy like glue. It wasn’t just Taeyong’s looks that captivated him, there was just something that felt undeniably magnetic. And so, he allowed himself to be pulled in, a satellite trapped by Taeyong’s gravity, orbiting him until one day, the walls came down and Doyoung was granted permission to enter the atmosphere. His poor, young heart didn’t stand a chance.
His feelings for Taeyong helped sustain him during the special kind of hell that is being an idol trainee. Having a crush was something normal, a tether to the real world amongst the surreality of his day-to-day.
And even still, as he and Taeyong grew closer and closer, Doyoung learned to shut off that particular valve in his heart, the one that yearned for more, more than Taeyong was clearly willing to give him. Eventually the switch grew rusty from years of disuse and Doyoung forgot about its existence entirely. Taeyong, to him, was many things: a leader, a confidante, a creative partner, a best friend, a home away from home—but that was it, the list was complete. Written in fresh concrete and left to bake to permanence in the sun.

Summary
Special Agent Taeyong was supposed to join the Art Crime Team. It was a perfect fit, what with his dual degrees in Art History and Criminology. When Taeyong first learned of the team’s existence as a teenager he thought there was something so deliciously alluring about the idea of tracking down art thieves. It didn’t sound like a job that people had in real life, it was something reserved for the protagonists of old noir films. Life could be so terribly dull—why wouldn’t he try to make the best of it?
Instead he's been stuck spinning his wheels in a sad little sub-branch of a sub-branch, spending his days with mindless data entry. That is, until a series of art thefts strike New York's most wealthy and powerful, leaving the organization scratching their heads. They decide to embed one of their own into the city's highest social strata to figure out what's going on, someone shiny enough to endear themselves to the glitterati. Someone, like Taeyong.
At yet another party, wearing a suit that costs more than his rent, Taeyong meets Doyoung Kim, a member of the elite class he so thoroughly despises. Doyoung takes an immediate interest in Taeyong, but how mutual is that interest? And more importantly, how genuine?

Summary
There’s a mischievous twinkle in Doyoung’s eyes, “Yes, hyung?”
Taeyong kicks his foot away, “You’re being cruel.”
Doyoung puts an elbow on the table and rests his chin in his hand. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“If you aren’t going to fuck me,” Taeyong hisses, “I need you to knock it off.”
Doyoung cocks his head and Taeyong watches as his eyes dart back and forth, as if he’s actively thinking of something. “What?” Taeyong pries.
“What if there’s a way we can both get what we want?” Doyoung says. He looks pleased with himself. The way he always does whenever he impresses himself with his own intelligence. Taeyong would find it infuriating if he wasn’t so smitten.
“What are you on about?”
Doyoung licks his lips and stares into Taeyong’s eyes, “What if I still got to sleep but…” He suddenly becomes aware of what he’s suggesting and where he’s suggesting it and straightens up, visibly embarrassed. He looks over his shoulder, making sure that this is a private conversation. “We could still have sex?”
Taeyong chokes on his coffee, “What are you saying… How would that even…”
“Use your imagination,” Doyoung takes a sip of orange juice. “You’ll figure it out.”

Summary
The holidays are fast approaching and workaholic Kim Doyoung begrudgingly decides to take some medically recommended weeks off. He heads to his small hometown, lest he be too far away from the city (work emergencies and all), despite loathing the place and all the memories it conjures up. It's been years since he's been home and the town's main street has a host of new businesses, including an ice cream shop for dogs (ridiculous, he thinks) owned and operated by one Lee Taeyong. Doyoung's determined to keep working through it all, but the holiday season has other plans in store...
