(Zenos is the one to ferry you home rather than a teleporter. Everyone believes you both to be dead amongst the stars. Both completely emotionally fucked up, you decide to ignore your problems together rather than return to your old lives. It's gonna be fine, assuming no one ever finds out)

Summary
The sun is warm on Ignis’ face as he stands at the window of the hotel room in Lestallum. He stands there so long he can sense the sun drop out of the sky, the shadow of evening drawing the warmth away.
He hears Gladio preparing for his mercy run: a round-trip to the Crown City for medications that will ease Prompto's pain.
Gladio comes to stand beside him. It's a few moments before he speaks, and when does his voice is loaded with grief. "I don’t think he’s got more than three days in him."
They are long past hiding their grief from each other. Ignis doesn't move his face away from the last of the sun's heat, and has to force his voice out of hiding when he says, "I don’t think he has even that."
(In which Ignis and Gladio once more see a brother to the other side.)

Summary
I carried you like this when you were a child, Ignis remembered, shifting his numbing arm so Noct's head rolled against his shoulder in a terrible parody of that childhood intimacy. He'd thought Noct heavy then; the weight now was killing him. Six, if you've any mercy, give us back the darkness, and not a world without him. There was so much he'd wanted to say, and to hear. There had been, in the end, too little time.
The sun crept over the horizon. Ignis heard Gladio and Prompto's steps falter, and sensed unfamiliar warmth across his cheek. He kept walking, one resolute step at a time, slow as a dirge, toward his final duty to his king.
In his arms, Noct stiffened and shuddered, gasped and thrashed like a fish yanked from water. Ignis could neither hold him nor drop him, so he fell to his knees, pulling Noct up against his chest roughly.
The dawn brought miracles, but in their wake Ignis struggled to rebuild his life in a world reeling from the apocalypse and strained by old political conflicts.

“Omegas can’t leave the facility until they’ve been chosen and scent-marked,” Prompto replied – in the exact tone the droning politician used every time he came to visit. He waved the barcode about to answer further, “my pre-bond is already mated. Stuck here forever, escorting around alphas who think it’s not rude to comment on how bad my scent is.”
Then, without warning, Prince Noctis blurted out in an almost guilty whisper: “I’m a broken alpha.” Prompto jolted, turning to look at him directly with shock. “I’ve never been into rut, not even sure if I can knot.”(Rating likely to go up)
