Summary
Beomgyu is missing.
There is a cacophony of voices yelling around Yeonjun, calling out Beomgyu's name, searching for him in the trees. Soobin isn't far behind, longer limbs awkward and burning with the unfamiliar exercise.
"Beomgyu!" He screams, farther away from the group and louder than the rest, and when the forest goes silent, waiting for a response, Yeonjun collapses. Soobin trips over him, sprawling out on the forest floor and picking himself up as fast as possible to comfort his hyung. "It's too cold out, he can't be out here. He should have come back, it's too cold. He-he gets sick easily, and left his sweater." He babbles, the lack of oxygen to his brain slurring his words and making him dizzy.
Others catch up to them, watching as Soobin tries to calm down the elder.
Beomgyu is missing.
And it's all his fault.

Summary
Jeongguk and Namjoon's divorce was healthy-- they weren't even adults when they'd had their first pup together, and after their second and third, the love, the chivalry, the romance was gone. When they became glorified roommates, watching over their tinier, jointly created roommates, they'd decided that the best course of action was to move on. It isn't that they haven't had their fair share of disagreements since they signed the papers, but nowhere near the issues that they'd come across when together.
They would show their kids healthy relationships by not being an example of an unhealthy one.

The two whales continue in a circle around the laboratory, and Jeongguk pushes himself farther into the sand, unsure of their behavior and how they’ll react to his presence.
Then, he hears the slightly smaller one begin to sing. Then he knows that there is something strange about these two. He’s praying that if nothing else, his earpiece is picking up the sound. The call isn’t the same as any he’s ever heard before. It’s too high pitch, nothing like the normal humpback whales in the area.

the christmas party wasn’t all that horrible, even knee deep in eggnog and alcohol and those ugly fucking sweaters. jeongguk loves his job, loves his coworkers most of the time, so a christmas party where they get to sit around and shoot the shit and get drunk on candy cane shots was right up his alley.
he’s got his own ugly sweater; a mock-up pink bunny rabbit sweater off of some christmas show that yoongi watched as a kid and thought was all too fitting to not pick up from the store. (jeongguk had been happy to return the favor with a light up kitten sweater that had not been so well received.)
