Summary
Five years after the war, everybody thinks Spider dead. Except he never was, taken by the RDA to experiment on instead. And as they find him in the poorest mental and physical state, alone in a dark cell of an unknown bunker, Jake is forced to face the consequences of his neglect, maybe too late. And he's not the only one. Spider's reappearance will put the whole Sully family to the test. For better or for worse.
“Jakesully,” one of them called, “Is the tawtute going to be ok?”
Jake took a deep breath. Beside him, Spider had started laughing to himself, displaying his rotten teeth and Jake felt sick again to see how bad Spider’s physical state was.
“No.”
No, Spider was not going to be ok. And there was a high chance he might never be ok again. But one thing was certain, he wasn’t going to abandon him a second time.

Jake’s anger was palpable enough to burn a hole through steel, his jaw clenched so hard that his teeth creaked audibly. “Who would choose to leave a child on Pandora? Who would have a child in an obvious warzone? Who the fuck would endanger a kid like that?” he asks, all of them rhetorical because no one would be able to answer them anyway.
“And how the hell did Selfridge think it was a good idea to tell someone just as he was getting on an aircraft to leave?!” Jake asks again, getting more irate and angry, nearly tearing his hair out at this point. “That’s like saying ‘Oh peace out guys, but don’t forget there’s a literal child in there who could starve if left alone’. Like, the fuck?!”
He flops back against his chair, his breaths heaving out in barely controlled gusts that flutter the pages strewn about him. “Actually, Norm, don’t slap him. Punch the dumbass for me into next week. Maybe that’ll get it through his thick skull,” he mutters, utterly serious in his tone and his expression.
Or!All humans leave Pandora after the final battle leaving Spider behind. Oh, and he’s blessed by Eywa. That’s it. That’s the fic.

Summary
After the battle that took Neteyam, Spider is left to his own devices at Awa'atlu. He was drifting further, and further from those who he'd loved all his life. But it seems as sad as he may be; that some spiders belong to the sea.
He finds comfort in it—strength in its currents—togetherness where the waves hit the sand, and a calmness in its never-ending flow. Even when his mind was far away in his memories; the sea was always there.
So Spider speaks to the sea. Speaks of his uncertainty. His loneliness. His loss. And while Eywa listens the sea begins to answer.Series
