Summary
After the fall and funeral, John despairs, but also embraces a glimmer of hope—that Sherlock is alive. Sometimes wishes do come true. This alternative universe follows John as he helps Sherlock dismantle Moriarty's network to save all that they love. In the process they may even save each other.

Story diverges at Empty Hearse. Silver’s prompt for FTH asked for a story where Sherlock tells John what he did when he was “away” dismantling Moriarty's network. As per Silver's suggestions, Sherlock brutally tells him, not just in “ellipses and generalities” but the terrible truth. This begins as a confrontation that leads to “conversation and allows for healing that didn't happen.” Along the way they solve a case and acknowledge their hearts.
