Arthur turns and rushes towards him with a strong urgency. He shoves Merlin's shoulders, hands shaking with his desperate violence. “Dear Gods, don’t you ever just listen.”
Merlin catches himself before he falls ungracefully to the hard floor. “What is wrong with you?!” Merlin shouts this, done with holding back.
“You!” Arthur yells back, hands dramatically gesturing at Merlin. “You are what’s wrong,” Arthur begins, getting in Merlin's face, “you are supposed to only be my servant. Even if a terrible one at that. But somehow–somehow,” he wrenches, voice the replica of having given it your all, “I’ve never been so thoroughly corrupt.”
Merlin draws back, shaking his head, hurt. “What’d you mean ‘corrupt’?”

“Oscar?” The close to immediate silence was somehow worse than the sobbing. Daniel pictured Oscar freezing at the voice, furiously wiping his face dry, anything to deny that he had been crying. After a little hesitation, Daniel tried again. “Oscar? Are you alright?”
The reply came back in barely more than a whisper, Oscar’s voice choked up. “Yeah.” And then a little stronger. “Yeah.” He did not sound alright.
(Daniel opens his door one evening to reveal Oscar having a Mysterious Breakdown. Of course he wants to do his best to comfort Oscar but it would be great if his own sexuality crisis could come back another day.)
