All she knows is that there is a warmth right in the middle of her that spreads all the way down to her toes and fingertips. The feeling makes her give Hopper a small smile. “Not freezing.”

The boy sighed, his lips moving weakly as he quietly, almost incoherently repeated his creator’s name. Victorvictorvictorvictorvictor. Elizabeth clasped his hands and squeezed them in her own, smiling gently at the child who had turned away.

As expected, his words are met with no reply. He pushes back the feeling of annoyance, and before he could open his mouth again, a large collage of thunder and lightning strike loudly, lighting up the entire room. The creature's eyes widen with pure terror and It's large hands go to cover his ears. Victor now realizes what the problem is.
“The storm? You are afraid of the storm?” He fails to hide the incredulousness in his voice.
OR: After Elizabeth and William meet the Creature, Victor has a change of heart and tries to be a better father to his son.

"Guys like us." Batman repeats the phrase as if it's the first time he's heard it, and Clark swears that he almost quirks a smile. Then the moment passes, and he closes off again. "Thanks, but I work alone."
Clark holds up his hands and rises back into the air. "Fair enough. If you ever change your mind, you know where to find me."
That should be the end of it, and it's fully what Clark intends. But some less-than-stellar impulse (he does occasionally have those, contrary to popular consensus) prompts him to take a brief peek through Batman's mask, if only for simple curiosity's sake.
He nearly drops out of the sky.

Within a day of their first meeting, Batman and Superman discover each other's greatest secrets. It makes for a pretty effective ice-breaker.
