Summary
Meryl Stryfe is a junior at November University working hard at her job at the university journal, eager to please alongside her rookie partner and photographer, Milly Thompson. That eagerness (and brown nosing) is what lands her in the position of babysitting Vash "The Stampede", famous and increasingly popular cross country runner for the university team. It’s itchy against his skin – Knives has never itched before. “No matter how long it takes. I’ve gotten there before, I can do it again.”

It strikes Millions Knives as intensely pathetic, that he is debating philosophy with a witless cowboy.
