Summary
Following Shane and Scott's fight on the ice, Ilya completely loses his mind, and thinks it's a good idea to break into Scott's home and attempt to physically assault him for an, at worst, ambiguously homophobic comment (and, far more likely, a mere jab at their famous rivalry). Scott informs him that, not only does he not have any idea about Shane and Ilya (because he has a life, and is not a television viewer following their actions at all times, nor does he have an encyclopedic memory of every awkward encounter he's had over the last few years) but that his actions are downright illegal, not to mention insanely homophobic.
Or: the author is a gay man who has seen way too many fics with this disgustingly homophobic premise, and he is so very tired.

Summary
The soundproofing in room 1221 is exactly as bad as Shane fears. He and Rozanov can hear every word as Scott Hunter engages in a deeply depressing annual ritual, and decide offering comfort is more important than keeping things a secret.
It sparks a friendship that ends up changing more than just the trajectory of those three men's lives.

Summary
Scott Hunter has always lived his life like there's a homophobic sniper tracking his every move, who gets a 'ping' any time he acts too gay. After half the government is revealed as a Nazi front, he discovers the sniper is in fact real (though not homophobic). He's now eating Lucky Charms in Scott's kitchen, saying something about a vacancy.
So Scott gets a roommate, but at least he knows he won't fall in love with this gay brunet from Brooklyn. After all, he's still hung up on the last one.

Summary
Shane Hollander didn’t have many secrets. Secrets were just lies and lies were hard. They required a constant and exhausting amount of maintenance. Secrets had to be selfishly hidden and mercilessly protected. They required a magician’s uncanny talent to smile and laugh, pulling the audience’s attention to the left hand while simultaneously warping reality with the right.
No matter how he looked at it, Shane knew the truth. A secret was a lie, and Shane Hollander could not lie.
Shane’s mind, riddled with anxiety and a compulsive need for facts, plans, plays, just couldn’t hold all the frayed and sharp edges of a secret (a lie) and not fatally cut himself.
