Mike’s hand falls from the door knob. Instinctively, he takes a step back, and he turns back around. The door closes gently behind him, and Mike stares at his boyfriend in surprise and in confusion. “What?”
“We’re supposed to be a team,” Will repeats, his voice trembling yet still a bit angry. His eyes are narrowed at Mike—defensive but still on guard, wounded but still ready to fight.
It’s familiar. Somehow, the two of them always end up like this.

They’re not worried about winning them back like usual, that is, until the new kid Will Byers moves to town. Their exes Max and El are always hanging around him, goofing off, and are very touchy feely with this Will Byers fellow. Who is this pretty boy playboy and why does Mike keep obsessing over him? Why does Lucas think Will's not so bad of a guy? Dustin proposes to Lucas and Mike that they should befriend Will, learn his weakness, and steal their girlfriends back even though the more they get to know Will, the more they get pulled in by Will’s charm.
Not a love triangle story. Just a love story.

"You left me," Mike says, gravely serious but somehow still so young in his demeanour, brow a little heavier than usual, lips still pouty. Will frowns too, rubbing at Mike's arm, feeling the soft hairs underneath his palm and loving him over and over again.
"Uh-huh." Mike doesn't elaborate again. "You're being very vague –"
"For someone else. In my dream," he finally mutters before burying his face back into Will's arm, leaving the rest of his comment muffled, though the brokenness of it can still be made out. "You broke up with me in my dream for… someone else."

Summary
Buck has a secret.
He's the guy behind a wildly popular tiny cooking channel. A channel that he fuels through “borrowing” negligible amounts of ingredients from Eddie’s kitchen. He’s not proud of it, but what someone doesn't know won't hurt them, right?
Eddie has a problem.
He has a rat that’s been stealing ingredients from his kitchen. It’s smart and subtle in its takings, but he’s onto it and will catch it. Good thing he has a best friend, who he may or may not be in love with, to help.
An accidental identity reveal, a deeply committed “rat” bit, and a minor emergency later, two idiots who fall in love.
OR:
Buck has a miniature cooking channel no one knows about. Buck also has a bad habit of stealing ingredients from Eddie’s kitchen. Eddie thinks the missing ingredients are due to a rat, which he enlists Buck’s help to catch. Hijinks ensue.

The words hung there, half-joke, half-challenge, drawn from the same nervous energy that made Mike open up moments earlier.
Will's pulse hammered in his ears. He met Mike's eyes, and really looked at him, he saw the same mix of curiosity and embarrassment staring back.
"I bet I am," Will said softly, the words slipping out before he could take them back.

There’s a choked sound from the chair. A muffled laugh, quickly swallowed.
Buck’s eyes flick, just once, toward the chair, and then he flushes so fast it’s equal parts alarming and endearing.
“I’m fine,” he says, each word coming with its own zip code.
He always does that. It’s their routine, their little dance. He tries to bolt, she gives him a reason not to, without calling him out. He acts like it doesn’t hurt, she pretends she doesn’t notice the way his jaw tightens, the tremor in his hands.
This time, though, it doesn’t get that far.
“What you are is stubborn,” the guy in the chair says. If there’s meant to be an edge to it, Sam can’t find one. “You took a pretty bad hit to the head, Buck. The helmet came off. You should let them check you out.”
Buck rolls his eyes, but he doesn’t argue. Doesn’t even try.
That’s new.
Sam studies him for half a second, then gestures. “Okay, chin down.”or, Buck and Eddie being perceived by an ER nurse for a decade

Will reached into the back pocket of his jeans and pulled out a small pouch. It looked almost ridiculous: soft pink fabric, faintly sparkly, and just sheer enough that the contents were visible through it, revealing several neatly rolled joints inside.
Mike’s eyes lit up immediately at the sight. “Holy shit.”
Will held it up between two fingers like a magician revealing a trick. “Jonathan insisted we needed it after midterms. Gave it to me for free, said it was a gift.”

If Will had to be honest, he wasn’t sure.
Thinking about a future for the two of them was too complicated and cruel. Every possibility that had crossed his mind ended in tragedies. His family and friends hating him, Mike leaving him to deal with it alone, the worst scenarios of how all of that could unfold. How she could find out. Unless she breaks up with him for not loving him anymore, he sees no solution to it.
And he doesn’t imagine that is ever happening.

The Hunt is carnal. It is a total submission to one's baser instincts, to be fully consumed by hunger and lust. Not one group of predators uphold the tradition of the Hunt as highly as the wolves do. It is ingrained deeply within their culture, a time-honored practice that must be undertaken at a young wolf's coming of age.
The forest is a bounty waiting to be pillaged. Prey animals cower in fear, feeling the electricity in the air. When Mike finally turns eighteen, the Hunt begins.

It should have been simple. If an omega’s instincts were heightened, Will reasoned, it might make things easier for his recessive alpha boyfriend, Carlton, to finally get him pregnant. The best way to do it would be if a dominant alpha (in this case, Mike) scented Will into subspace.
