Summary
Two months. A complete pause in her life, as if she were being plucked out of time, placed in a glass case, until she was needed again.
Dr. Astrid Ingellvar witnesses a murder and is placed under the protection of Lucanis Dellamorte — an operative from Dellamorte & Associates private security firm. Eight weeks in a safe house. That's all she has to survive before she can testify.
But Lucanis doesn't sleep. Astrid doesn't ask for help. And eight weeks is a long time to pretend you're not falling in love with the man who keeps you alive.
Updates on Wednesdays.

Summary
Throughout the years, Garrus finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, injured for whatever reason. After all, in his line of work, you have to expect the usual minor (or sometimes major) flesh wound. At least he has one constant in Shepard, always there to tell him to patch it up.
(Four times Garrus is injured in front of Shepard, and one time the roles are reversed. A relationship progression shown through injuries.)

Summary
He wasn’t present - not fully. She knew the look. Shoulders tight. Eyes haunted, even when he was trying to hide it behind that polished stillness. Something had gotten to him earlier. A mission gone wrong. A spirit whispering through him. She didn’t know yet. He hadn’t said.
So she hadn’t asked.
Instead, she offered the one language they both knew better than talking.

Summary
Rook’s gaze flicked back to the flowers, the carved stone, the hush that seemed to press in from the walls. “And now her name’s gone,” she said, quieter now. “Even to the Fade. Even to time.”
Her voice trembled, just slightly. “She loved a god. And he loved her. But no one even remembers her name.”
Lucanis was quiet for a moment. “He remembered.”
---
In the depths of Arlathan Forest, Rook and Lucanis uncover a forgotten shrine to Dirthamen. Not a cruel god’s grand, imposing temple, but something far more intimate.
Something quiet.
A place where even a god can be loved.
Some secrets are meant to be kept. Others, to be shared.

Summary
Lucanis lets his mouth ghost just close enough that she can feel the heat of his breath as he exhales, steady and slow, a breath away from contact. The kind of closeness that makes the skin ache.
"Carissima."
Her answering gasp shoots fire down his spine. If he doesn't leave this room in the next sixty seconds, he's going to take her right here, dinner and privacy be damned.
