Mary felt her nose twitch. Her hands had balled into fists under the table in her lap.

Crowley shrugged noncommittally.
“Nah, not really. Same old same old. Driving around town and scaring some humans. Got some new records at the music store. Oh, and I went to the greenhouse, met someone there and took him home.“
Aziraphale paused mid-movement while putting away his book.
“You took them home? What do you mean, you took them home, dear?“, he asked, frowning at Crowley. He couldn‘t mean… what Aziraphale thought he meant. Could he!? It couldn’t be… that! Not with a human! Right?!
Crowley just shrugged again.
“I mean, he looked good, I liked him and I took him home. Showed him around the place and then took him to the bedroom.“
Aziraphale gaped at him disbelievingly.Or: Crowley comes into the bookshop, telling Aziraphale all about Larry, the guy he met at the greenhouse, about how good he looks and that he immediately brought him home to share his bed. Aziraphale is devastated until he discovers that the whole situation isn‘t quite what he first made it out to be.

Mary had told him where to find the book, on the nightstand next to her side of their bed (their bed) where her current favorites often resided. It was there, just as she said it would be, and he went to grab it quickly so as to return to his love as soon as possible, and bask in the joy of her presence as he read to her as long as she wanted, until his voice went hoarse if she wished. He grabbed it so quickly, in fact, that he only managed to snag the cover, and the pages of the book flapped open before he could get a better grip. As they did, something which had been pressed between the pages fluttered to the ground.
After they get married, Tom finds the letter Mary wrote while he was in Yorkshire(Standalone fic but could technically follow the previous fic in the series)

The first time they hooked up, Rozanov had kissed him before Shane got on his knees. They kissed when Scott Hunter was in the room next-door. And they kissed slowly and sweetly, on his apartment stairway, after Rozanov had taken his world apart and put him back together again. Hell, even in that bathroom, where he felt as if the Russian was trampling on his bared soul, Rozanov had kissed him.
So why was it different this time? What did he do wrong?
Shane aches with how much he wants—needs the other man. There is a hollow numbness in his chest every time he thinks about those golden curls and ocean eyes, and he hates himself for wishing he could have more.

Wanting Hollander is dangerous, because Ilya is wanting more than he’s allowed to have. But Ilya keeps wanting more and more, because he is vain, selfish, undisciplined. He wants to have Hollander in his arms, sweet, warm, and gorgeous.
And he will always regret it later, in the quiet moments that come in the aftermath, in the small and lingering ache that follows him once they are apart.
Or: Shane spirals and avoids Ilya post-Vegas. Ilya chases after him, and they talk.

“Hollander.” Shane’s head snaps back to his left. Ilya is much closer, pace slightly hurried. “Come here.” His voice sort of mimics the way one would talk to an animal paralyzed in fight-or-flight. Shane is not sure what to make of that.
He slowly turns his head in the opposite direction, where his vision tunnels on the door for the stairwell. It almost glows like a special item in a video game, like a hint. Without giving himself time to doubt, he bolts.
“Wha- Hollander, what the fuck!” Ilya shouts in audible disbelief, and Shane distinctly hears matching thuds of frantic footsteps behind him; Ilya is chasing after him. Shane runs faster, positively sprinting at this point. He’s the fastest skater in the NHL right now. He can do this. He flings the door open and bounds down the steps two at a time, hitting the walls with each turn of a corner. If he eats shit on this filthy floor and embarrasses himself in front of Ilya, he thinks, he’ll never let himself see the light of day ever again.
or alternatively, in which Shane accidentally sends the text, and Ilya chases after him. Like, actually chases after him.
