rafael's sound asleep in charles' lap when he finally feels eyes on him. lo and behold, in the doorway stands carlos, arms crossed with his sleeves folded up. he swallows around nothing, glancing back down at his sleeping son. "you missed dinner," he says, as neutrally as he can manage, which isn't very much at all. "and the match, too."
carlos strides over until he's standing right in front of charles and now he has to crane his neck up to look at him. he swoops rafa up into his arms, and his baby doesn't even flinch, snuggling more into his father's neck. "was he very upset?" he asks charles. "did he miss me?"
"yeah," he says simply.
there's a fire in carlos' eyes, the same ones he's passed down to rafael and sophie. "and you?"

Summary
It’s a strange thing, to feel like your world has completely tilted on its axis.
Max actually loses his footing, stumbling against the railing. His mouth falls open, both in absolute awe and in an effort to get to more of that absolutely heavenly scent. The alpha’s eyes are still locked on Charles, who is staring back with an expression that looks just as stunned as Max feels. His heart begins pounding, his body temperature spikes viciously, like he’s about to enter a rut.

Summary

Charles, lost and heartbroken, withdraws from the public and goes MIA on Carlos. That is until 4 years later Charles suddenly returns to the public eye and attends the University of Switzerland, known for its prestige and a large number of royal members attending, Carlos being one of them. Sparks fly at their first meeting. Carlos wishes to reconcile and Charles is still mad at him, but decides to be a little shit and mark himself as the universities vixen just to make life hard for Carlos.
