Ash and company are staring at the dilapidated cabin in the forest when it happens again, no time at all later. Eddie looks over from beneath his eyelashes and he finds Steve flipping through Instagram. His eyes are still flicking back and forth between the phone and the TV screen, though, so Eddie lets this one go, but –
– but he does start to get a little itchy about it when it’s still happening as the cellar door flies open. Eddie’s not mad, not really, but he can’t shake the feeling that something’s happening here that he’s just not in on.
This hadn’t happened during The Lost Boys.

After Derry, Richie remembers what happened, in stunning clarity. The problem is that he remembers too much, and not just too much - too many versions, so many that he thinks his head may split open. And there's nothing to do but do something about it.

Summary
Even here, in this empty apartment, he can’t show one iota of weakness. As far as Piltover knows, Viktor does not feel pain. In fact he hadn’t felt pain since he left the undercity. It’s a point of pride for him, something he maintains obsessively.
Until it follows him to his own bed, at which point he has to acknowledge the inverse: that the existence of pain is a point of shame.
Viktor forces himself to go to work during a flare-up, and the immovable object of his stubbornness meets the unstoppable force of Jayce’s desire to care for him.

Jayce desperately wants to rub at his forehead, but the binding at his wrist stops him. He settles for squeezing his eyes shut. “Why?” he asks.
