Summary
It wasn’t that the guy was subtle – he had the kind of presence that made people sit up straighter, like some archaic social instinct forced them to acknowledge him. But Alex had better things to do than stare at some pasty British dude with a jawline too sharp to be trusted.

Summary
Alex doesn’t like to brag, but he does play the first openly bisexual half-Mexican trauma surgeon on daytime television. That’s kind of a big deal.
He pushed hard for that representation. Timed his character’s first on-screen kiss with a man with his own personal coming out, and a cover shoot for Soap Opera Digest.
----
Or, Henry is Alex's newest co-star on The Hot & The Horny, a long-running daytime soap opera.

Summary
When Alex spots Henry, his smile drops and the air feels charged. Alex’s eyes are dark as they drag over Henry’s frame, and he notices the hitch in Alex’s breath as he fixates on what seems like Henry’s clavicle. His gaze is intense when he looks back at Henry, and Henry can’t help how his eyes dip to Alex’s collarbones, and he fights the urge to bite in mouth-shaped bruises there; easy to hide, but easier to spot. Henry breathes in shakily, licking his lip, because the tension is just so damn thick. It’s lingering in the air, making him want to do something unspeakably insane. Still, he knows he has to break this moment. He must if he knows what’s best for him.
“You look good,” Henry praises, watching how Alex melts into the cushions. How his throat bobs. Then, wanting to break this tension between them, he says, “Michelle, is she almost here?”
“Thank you,” Alex murmurs, refusing to answer Henry’s question as he keeps staring at him. “You look so damn gorgeous, sweetheart.”

Summary
He’s in too deep now. He can’t turn around and say ‘actually, sorry, I made that up. Free stuff, please?’ So he’s forced to walk himself to the gallows with a stiff smile.
Henry glances up when his shadow seems to cover his book, frowning. “Alex?”
“I need you to pretend to be my husband.”
“Excuse me?”
“I fucked up and now I’m going to look like a fucking psychopath if you don’t walk back with me to that booth covered in flowers and tell the very nice lady that we are on our honeymoon.”
Alex loves free shit. These are the lengths he's willing to go to in order to get them.

oof, how did he take that rejection?Henry
Who’s to say I rejected him?2E (Alex)
…Henry
Haha, you know me too well. Not for me, I’m afraid. I need to be wined and dined.2E (Alex)
noted.Henry likes his new neighbours well enough - There’s Mrs Bennett in 6D, who always pinches his cheek when she passes him in the hall. Mr Ewing in 3B, that Henry always helps carry his groceries up the stairs as he doesn’t trust the lifts. There’s Emily from 4A, who always stops Henry in the halls to show him photos of her baby, who has recently learned how to put square shaped blocks into square shaped holes.
And then there's Alexander Claremont Diaz in 2E that he has been steadily falling in love with via text message, despite never meeting the man.
He's bloody screwed.

"Alright," Henry says, snapping his eyes to the register, correcting the man's order. "Please hold me."
A beat of silence. Then, "On. Please hold on," he hastily corrects, his eyes wide, the blood rushing to his cheeks, turning them scarlet.
Fuck, he's going to kill himself. Henry closes his eyes in embarrassment, taking a deep breath in. He doesn't want to risk taking a look at the gorgeous man who's probably laughing at him now. Fuck his life.

Summary
It was Nora’s idea.
Earlier that week, some of her coworkers were talking about this new dating app, Matchmaker, and after doing some research, she convinced June it was the perfect solution.
“You know how back in the day, families would play matchmaker, ‘oh your son is single, so is my daughter’, and they would set them up?” June looks at Nora, skeptical of where she is going with this conversation.
“I want to list Alex on this new dating app where we get to control everything. We create the profile, we select the pictures, we swipe left or right. We decide who would be a good match for him.” Nora explains it like what she’s suggesting is no big deal.
“Are you nuts!?” June exclaims. “That’s completely insane.”
Or… June and Nora list Alex on a dating app, Bea and Pez list Henry, and the foursome decide they would be perfect together. But there are a few problems. First, they never told Alex and Henry about the app, and neither is going to agree to it. Second, Alex is straight.

Summary
Writing had been Henry’s escape since he could remember, he could remember the times when he’d be up until dusk with his hand cramping and the skyline of London shining in front of his window. As he grew older, he had a habit of writing letters to anyone.
...
A majority of the letters were addressed to his grandfather who seemingly didn’t have much of a care for him. Sometimes the letters would only put a bandage over the feelings he had until he could properly assess them later down the road.Bookmarked by flinyazzz

He hadn’t meant to snoop. He was just unpacking, but he just hadn’t expected…
This.
A paper.
The paper is small, folded over so many times it’s soft at the seams, corners worn down to fuzz. Henry unfolds it gently, like it might fall apart.
At the top, written in young, round handwriting, are the words:
“How To Make People Like You (So They Stay)”

Summary
Dr. Eden sighs and looks them both in the eyes. “I’m not going to lie to you. There is a possibility that he will never recover his memories. But, there are things we can do to help him along. I’ve already told him about the memory loss. He knows it’s 2023 and that he lost almost four years of memories. I think it may be best to update him on his current situation. His day to day life is drastically different then it was in 2019, is that correct?”
“Yeah, I would say.” Alex huffs out a bitter laugh.
Henry is in an accident and thinks it's still 2019. He still believes Alex hates him, and Alex is a just as much of a mess as you think he would be.

Summary
One of the world’s largest retailers is opening a store on his street. A bookstore. He looks down at the article in his hand again and catches sight of a phrase: “We hope that people will see this as more than a bookstore, and hope to foster a sense of community.” As if Henry Fox-Mountchristen has any concept of what community means.
Alex very narrowly does not break something.
(When global mega-retailer Mountchristen opens a new location—led by the infuriatingly attractive and insufferable Henry Fox-Mountchristen—near his LGBTQ-focused bookshop in Soho, Alex's comfortable life is turned upsided down. Luckily, he has one of his best friends to turn to: a guy he met online and knows only as H. Meanwhile, Henry is battling against his family to make a positive difference in the world and falling further in love with a man he's never met. But... what if they changed that?

Summary
“Good morning,” Alex says before Henry fully shuts the door behind him. “You gonna tell me how the fuck we’re getting out of this whole fake marriage thing?”
Henry takes his tea from Alex and sits at his desk. There’s edits to be made, manuscripts to be looked over, but for once in his life, that's the least of his concerns right now.
“To put it simply,” he says, “we won’t.”
When Henry Fox, Head Editor of Windsor Publishing, is threatened with deportation, he makes a desperate attempt to stay in the country by faking a relationship with his executive assistant, Alex Claremont-Diaz. But when they’re forced to travel to Alex’s hometown to keep up their charade, real feeling start to spill over, and both are left wondering what they really want for each other.
