Summary
Mike is waiting for Will in the basement, a look of suspicious, nervous excitement on his face. He cleared the table and laid out upon it are two card games.
"Now, I know you’ll resist," Mike blurts out, stepping toward him. "But I think this will be good. For both of us! For when we... you know,” Mike trails off, “When we get partners.”
Will scoffs, stepping closer to inspect the titles.
Spill or Sip and Truth, Dare, or Strip.
Or: Mike suggests a spicy card game to help Will loosen up before college. It works a little too well, and suddenly they’re gambling with unresolved feelings, and clothes, that were meant to stay in place.

Summary
“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Summary
Camilla did not visit Francis during his second hospitalization. I contemplated long after I got the letter, hoping in the back of my mind that if I considered it long enough he would be out of the hospital before I was forced to make up my mind. I sat on the offer, the plea, of the letter he had sent me, hating myself for wasting away instead of moving on it.
And then I dreamt of Henry.

Summary
Francis ground his hips in lazy circles against mine. I couldn't help but wonder how many men he'd snuck into his and Priscilla's house while Priscilla was asleep, using his mouth to muffle the sounds of his paramour on the sofa as his wife was unaware in the bedroom. If he typically went to their house instead, offering flimsy excuses to Priscilla over the phone as he sank to his knees before his lay of the night.
"Cubitum eamus?” I asked.
He turned maroon, a color I'd never seen him go. "Yes.”

Summary
Richard returns the kiss, takes control of it, turns them around and makes a cage of his body, so that Francis is trapped beneath him. "I'm not attracted to you," he says as his erection presses against Francis' thigh.
"Isn't that interesting, I'm really not attracted to you either," Francis says.
"Right. No, of course not. I'm not Charles."
Francis laughs, colluding in the joke although it’s not a joke—not funny, just a lie, because Charles and Richard are exactly alike. They both like girls, but when Charles is drunk enough, Francis will do. For Richard, it's a matter of being lonely enough.
A fic about Francis' desires, the two main forms it takes, and how—ultimately—it can't be fulfilled.

Summary
Richard had always known he has this affiliation to romanticize life more than what it actually is. His fatal flaw. Longing for the picturesque of it all. The beauty of the grotesque. That stroke of perfection on an unfinished art. And sometimes, when the sun is just the right warm, and there's a sliver of peace as he lays in the grass with his back on the sun, watching Francis in his striped one piece bathing suit that shows off his lanky arms and stops mid thigh reading underneath a huge umbrella while faintly registering voices of Bunny and Charles chasing a swan in the lake as Henry and Camilla spectates them somewhere, Richard could think it would last. They could last.

Summary
Several months after that strange dream about Henry, I received a perhaps even stranger reminder of my former life.
I’m audaciously writing to ask if you would do me the honor of coming to New York to be my best man. I know it’s sort of sudden and short notice. I may have no right to ask this of you. You would be doing me a huge favor.

Only a few people had ever told me they loved me before, and most of the time it was completely meaningless. It sounded entirely different coming from Francis, possessing the same devastating impact as an atomic bomb, dismantling everything that had seemed concretely true just moments before.

Summary
Charles Macaulay, as the papers would later print, died following a quick and brutal onslaught of liver cirrhosis. It came quite like a stealthy hand, creeping up behind with a quick slash to the throat before his nerves had time to sense the stillness in the air. No creaks in the floorboards, no whispers of breath. A sudden, though certainly not peaceful, crumble and collapse.

Summary
Cloke Rayburn and Bunny Corcoran practically grew up in the same house. They were inseparable as kids, until they got a bit older and fell into largely different crowds. But when they both end up in the same prestigious boarding school a few years later, Cloke and Bunny have an urge to reconnect. A new student who fits into both of their circles could help a new relationship between them blossom, but Cloke has a severe distrust toward the small Greek class to which Bunny belongs, and Bunny doesn't quite understand the crowd that Cloke has chosen to run with. As they attempt to reconnect and their feelings for each other transform into something more intense, the Greek class has begun to not trust Bunny as much and attempt to edge him out slowly. When this proves to be nearly impossible, they take a more drastic measure, and Cloke sees right through their facade.

Summary
In its absence, the moon peeked back into view, sliced into ribbons by errant branches.
Bunny shivered, thinking of those pockmarked craters in the moon, circular like gun wounds. For a mad, feverish moment, he imagined himself hauling the gun from its holder, the metal cold and slick beneath his hands, and running into the woods, screaming. He’d twist one foot into the damp forest floor, pivot and shoot randomly into the trees, bullets pinging off tree trunks, the gun juddering at each teeth-chattering pop of the trigger.
or,
A fic where Bunny doesn't die during that fateful spring. Instead, he's trapped in a time loop and forced to face his death and harrowing sense of morality.
