What happened to you?” The Doctor asks the Master. Her voice is too broken, her question too rhetorical.
“You did,” the Master answers in frustrating earnest.
“Don’t do this,” she sighs, exasperated, even if his words ring true.
“You started it!” He accuses, “It’s always you! Every ill I inflict on others is a symptom of some sick obsession with you.” The disgust on his face, his voice, his everything, makes her feel obscene. ”I do it all for you.” Liar. Blaming the fires he sets on the person who puts them out.
…The tension chips like a tooth. The Doctor has to rip it out. “What’s next, some messed up love confession?” She blurts out, incredulous.
The Master’s normally expressive eyes flash back to hers, unreadable. Unreachable. “Is it not?”

Aziraphale has failed Heaven and Earth, he cannot fail Crowley again. He needs Crowley’s help (he needs Crowley). When he returns to his bookshop, he does not expect Crowley to be waiting for him, drinking wine in flannel pants. This is not how Aziraphale planned their reunion, so nothing else goes as planned, either. The stars fade, flicker, and flare; the tempter becomes the tempted and the slow outpaces the fast.
Aka Aziracrow reunion, but Aziraphale is having an anxiety attack and an identity crisis, Crowley is drunk and on the verge of a breakdown, and they both have terrible judgment and worse communication skills and are partially acting on pure spite.
Aka I ruin the apology dance for myself, my readers, but mostly for poor Aziraphale and Crowley. (Don’t worry, they get to dance properly later, but there will be NO resolution of romantic tension, because I too am fueled by spite)

The rift between Loki and Sylvie’s twin children results in chaos and carnage.
This fic is a mess, but it’s a spectacular, epic mess made with blood sweat and love. The story is based very loosely on Norse Mythology, and takes inspiration from the Eddas and Shakespearean Tragedy, if you’re wondering about the archive warnings. It is partially written in medieval style verse. The amount of research I did for this fic is frankly ridiculous. There are footnotes for mythology and Shakespeare references, for heck’s sake. Feel free to open google translate if ya don’t speak Norwegian and want more translation. If you do, I apologize for my awful Norwegian. Enjoy!
