Leon had looked better - so why, why, why why why why is Chris peeling his best friend off the cold ground, dirt sticky with a mix of Leon's blood and vomit, the stench of alcohol permeating the air around his limp body.

Summary
Jake didn't have any problem with his girlfriend's semi-dad. Truly, not at all. Leon was responsible, cared about Sherry, protected her, and was generally a-okay in his book. What he had a problem with, was Leon's damn boyfriend, who, as he was kind enough to let Jake know, disposed of his dead-beat. Not that Jake cared about his father in particular, having not seen him once in his life, but it hurt nonetheless, especially when Redfield seemed to love making a meal out of it.
or, Sherry takes Jake to visit Leon. Chris is also there.

Adam had expected a lot of things when Ronan had turned up at his door at four in the morning. Maybe Matthew was in trouble and Ronan had fought with Declan again over it and needed space. Maybe Cabeswater needed something and Adam had accidentally tuned it out, so it sent its dreamer to go get him. Maybe Gansey pissed him off and he wanted to rant. There were honestly endless possibilities for Ronan turning up at his door at four in the morning. Adam expected pretty much anything.
Somehow, watching his face crumple into tears was unexpected.
(Or: Ronan needs to not be alone and Adam is a good boyfriend)
