Summary
In 1728, Woodes Rogers returns as governor of the Bahamas. Every protection Madi was left with has crumbled. Even the island her war was surrendered to save is no longer beyond the grasping reach of the British Empire.
Twelve years prior, Madi wakes up on a beach, remembering a future where she tried and failed.
The half-starved pirates being dragged into her camp don't know her yet. Her father is still alive in Nassau, but days away and hours from the injury that will kill him. She knows the consequences of not having her war. Now she means to wage it, even if it means Long John Silver can never come to be.

Summary
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition
Henry V, Act IV Scene iii
Fifteen years ago, Wyll Ravengard helped save the world. His reward was being left to rebuild his city, soul bound to a devil, while his friends scattered. But he's not the only person they left behind. The Vampire Ascendant, Cazador Szarr, sire of his once-upon-a-time travelling companion, Astarion, who no one's heard from in years.
Bound by his Warlock pact to leave him unharmed, Wyll has maintained an uneasy truce with Szarr for years. But when Tav returns to Baldur’s Gate from the Hells, the winds of fortune blow once more. Wyll has an opportunity to rid his city of the monster that has stalked its streets for centuries.
Except no one knows where Astarion's run off to. Or what secrets Cazador has tucked up in his palace, ready to be roused.

Summary
In the final moments, when it looks like they're about to achieve the impossible, like they might all make it through this insane adventure they've been flung on, they are betrayed. Tav takes the Elder Brain for themself, seizes their companions minds for themself, and becomes the Absolute.
But they forgot just who was wearing which magical item. The Ring of Mind Shielding shines brightly on Gale of Waterdeep's finger, burning itself out against such overwhelming will. That doesn't matter though. What matters is what a determined wizard can do with six seconds, and everything hanging in the balance.
The orb detonates. The Absolute is destroyed, no matter who was puppetting it. The world turns on, saved.
And Gale does not cease to be.
Thrown back to the moment he first absorbed a shard of Netherese weave, he has two years to save the world, as well as everyone he's come to care about, from Bhaal's favourite child and their illithid plot. This time he won't make the mistake of seeing a friend in a Bhaalspawn, or let Astarion turn himself into someone he's not. Sure, he might not survive the experience, but that's what happens when your only weapon is a self destruct button.

Summary
In the midst of their fight with Auntie Ethel, her wild magic lashes out, with a rather unexpected twist: Astarion is transformed into a child. However, this young version of their travelling companion reveals an unexpected truth - he is a vampire, a fact previously unknown to the group. Bereft of his adult memories and unable to provide explanations, Astarion finds himself navigating the complex and tense dynamics of a party still finding its footing.
But in this chaos stands Wyll Ravengard, whose instinct to protect any child he encounters may be the only hope for Astarion.

Summary
Two years after Wyll becomes Grand Duke of Baldur's Gate, in the wake of the Absolute, a familiar devil comes knocking. He broke his pact, and the price was always going to be his father's life.
The city grieves for Ulder Ravengard, of course, and every inch of the man's life is exhumed and turned over in the wake of his passing.
But he is not the only corpse who rests uneasily in Wyll's memory. Two years ago, he begged the man he loved not to become a monster and that man hated him for it. And now he's back, too, and all the pains he thought he'd laid to rest are stirring once again.

Summary
Wyll is always too late for the good options.
He chooses to sacrifice his soul for a city and gets exiled, he spends years running up and down the coast, saving lives and hunting monsters and winds up with a mindflayer tadpole in his head - he makes one single selfish choice, and it burns his father to death in front of his very eyes, deep beneath the surface of the ocean.
And beyond that, he's fairly sure that Mizora has no intention of letting him out of her grasp, not really, and Astarion, well, that 'fling' (Astarion's words, not his) ended just about as badly as it could have, he still has no idea how he's meant to save the world and he just really, really needs more time.
How lucky for him, then, that he gets it.

Summary
Cohabiting with the person your lost love was actually in a relationship with was never going to be easy. And almost a year after destroying the Netherbrain and watching Tav spill their guts on a nondescript dock under the first rays of dawn, Gale was doing his best to grit his teeth and make a go of it. But between the awkwardness of returning to arcane society as the former-ex-chosen of Mystra, and the squabbling of his housemates, not to mention his increasingly complex feelings towards Astarion, the comfortable life he had more than earned was beginning to choke him.
And, of course, there was the small matter of the vampire lord that they'd never actually gotten around to killing. But he was in Baldur's Gate, so that was definitely fine.

Summary
High elves, of all the peoples of Faerun, are the closest to the Weave. Magic is their right, it runs through their veins. But Astarion died two centuries ago. There's a lot he's forgotten, and even more that's simply a half filled in sketch, just out of reach. While he can still summon fire to his fingers, he does it by rote, or perhaps merely muscle memory.
Gale decides to teach him what magic should feel like.

Summary
Oh good, the day's been saved and everyone gets to celebrate. Wonderful. How nice.
But Astarion's not safe, and he won't be until he knows the people trying to protect him outweigh those trying to claw him back into the dark. He's not known for elaborate plans, but here's a simple one: seduce the Blade of Frontiers. It wins him not just Wyll himself, but the whole camp of accidental champions who've proven themselves willing to follow their leader into all sorts of heroics.
Or, the tiefling party Astarion and Wyll scenes mashed together on a Wyll origin playthrough, from Astarion's POV. Is it healthy? No. Is it going to end well? Probably not. Are they going to do it anyway? Mmhmm.
Part of a series about my Wyll origin playthrough, each fic is standalone.

Summary
No tadpoles, no Absolute, no divine union seeking to bring the world to its knees. But that doesn’t mean there is no story.
The Wandering Lyric left Baldur’s Gate six years ago, a scrap heap seventeen year old out for blood. They’re back, but the spellsword with a growing legend wrapping itself noose-tight around their throat is a far cry from the kid who called this city home.
And they didn’t return alone. Volo’s got a nose for a story, and these days Lyric reeks of shadow and ruin.
But they’re not the only soul fate hasn’t forgotten. Seven far too messy lives are about to collide, and there’s no guarantee the city will still be standing when the explosions die down.
One thing, however, is for sure: a certain not-so-humble writer does not plan to miss a second of it.

DownTown was destroyed when the world ended, and left to ruin. Honestly, though? That's fine. They're building something new out of the rubble, and even if it isn't like what came before, it's still becoming home.
But Djuna grew up here in those bygone days, and sometimes it's hard not to look at these new mechs and judge them against the old. And Chorby didn't grow up here, but she did get to know it in a world where it was just her and Djuna.
Or: Djuna and Chorby walk and talk, through DownTown that is and DownTown that was and maybe DownTown that will be.
