He stares at Sam, wide blue eyes and then narrows them again “Are you a cop?” He asks suspiciously
Sam laughs at the tone of his voice and suppresses another urge to pull the kid into his arms and hug him, ruffling his hair and giving him the teddy bear he always wanted
He shakes his head “No, I'm not a cop” he tells him “Are you lost?”
The kid frowns “I think you are lying”

There's a message in Quackity’s communicator when he gets to his base
It is late at night and the weather is cold, bone chilling, and Quackity is just so incredibly tired, everyday is a blurr since the jailbreak, dealing with a newly escaped convict who also may want to murder you clearly does wonders on your mental health.
He reaches for the communicator.
The screen of the communicator eventually lights up and Quackity finds himself staring down at one single message
