For the fisherman who dwells by the southern shore of Huang Zun, a few bits of driftwood can mean a pot of hot porridge. If the winds blow favorably, the sea’s spittle can even gift him enough wood to trade for a turnip or two. And so by dawn, he wanders out to greet the salt-laden winds. What his eyes cannot see, his feet and hands will find for him; little pieces of wood, clusters of clams, the shell of a crab. His hands find the dead man too, there on the shore of the crescent cove, amidst knots of rotted seaweed and driftwood.
Driftwood, he names him; the man with the bloodied mouth and the threadbare whispers of a heart still awake.

“Shouldn’t be, and no, you’re not coming” Minho specifically planned his escape for himself. It doesn't matter that Jisung made it possible sooner, he is running away from the center and Jisung.
“But buddy system?” Jisung defends.
“No.” Minho grimaces.
“Who will you have sex with?” Jisung shrinks down on himself anxiously.
“Other humans exist Jisung”
Or: Jisung has been in love with Minho for five years and will do anything to make Minho happy, even leave the only place he’s ever called home and travel across the country with someone who hates him.

Summary
Chan didn't think he had been obvious enough for anyone to notice, had hoped he would be able to work through this himself without having to trouble Minho and Hyunjin with it. “It's nothing,” he says. “I'm fine.”
Minho narrows his eyes. “Don't do that,” he says. There's no real malice in his tone, just stern admonishment. “We promised each other we would talk about everything, especially after Paris.” Chan sighs. He's aware. They'd agreed not to keep anything to themselves if they were dealing with heavy emotions, and this definitely falls into that category, but at the same time he just feels so stupid and silly and embarrassed. Minho is still quietly watching him, waiting for him to spill, and Chan knows he owes him an explanation.
“It's just... something Jisung said,” he finally says.
“What did he say? I'll make sure he can never speak again.”
Chan can't help but chuckle at that. Minho is always able to say vaguely threatening things with the most deadpan expression. It's a true talent. “Just...” Chan sighs again. “Something about you and Hyunjinnie being out of my league.”

Summary
It’s in the middle of scanning the last bottle of green tea that Itadori properly looks up. Eye contact with him is a physical, unexpected shock, a crunch of imaginary static snapping through Megumi and leaving his hands twitching at his sides.
"Hey." Itadori blinks, wide and earnest. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
The tea sloshes backwards in the bottle he’s holding. Megumi focuses on this until his vision steadies.
"No," he says. "I don’t think so."
In the aftermath, Itadori loses his memories instead of his life. Megumi grieves nonetheless.

The first time he sees him, Satoru is sure the kid is lost.
Not because it’s unusual to see teenagers around this area -young newcomers are a daily occurrence, and a warmly welcomed one at that- but because the kid’s standing in the middle of the street looking like taking a single step will make the ground split up and devour him, never to be heard of again.
Satoru can’t blame him. With the bright neon lights blinking everywhere, the distant music from a dozen nightclubs blasting in the background, and the crowds of drunk people barhopping their way through life, Tokyo’s gay night scene does tend to have that overwhelming effect at first glance on whoever is brave enough to venture inside. An addictive effect, too. Few make it out once they’ve had a taste of it.
