When they begin to grow closer, Bradley propositions Maverick, and the older pilot caves in. As time goes on, Bradley's wants more and more and Maverick caves and caves.

Summary
After Maverick pulls his papers, Bradley cuts ties with him. He goes to college and later he gets accepted to the Naval Academy, but he becomes disillusioned in the process and he disappears after being trained as a pilot. Unbeknownst to everybody, he defects to an enemy country.
A few years later the uranium mission happens. Iceman brings in Maverick to train the group of young pilots. With Bradley out of the picture Maverick picks Hangman as his wingman and he goes down during the mission while protecting Jake.
What none of them is aware of is that the mission was a set up, designed by Bradley, who has a lot of pent up anger against his homeland and against Maverick.

“Don’t you see, Harry? We’re the same, you and I,” Tom whispers softly, grabbing Harry’s wrist. Tom strokes the thin skin, causing Harry to look at him. If he could, Tom would pluck those eyes out so they wouldn’t look at anyone else.
“No, I don’t think so,” Harry protests. The boy’s eyes stray to the discarded stones, the stones Tom almost used to kill those children. Displeasure seers through him at the lack of attention. Tom taps his pulse point with his thumb, coaxing Harry’s eyes back to him.
“Of course we are, and we need each other.” It’s a lie, but it comes out more sincere than Tom ever imagined. Harry inclines his head, sizing up the truth of Tom’s declaration for himself.
“Okay, sure,” the boy decides suddenly.
Harry Potter was his.
Tom Riddle meets Harry Potter at Wool's Orphanage where he immediately becomes a thorn in his side. Upon the discovery that Harry was like him, Tom decides he cannot and will not let Harry go. Even Harry's endless complaints and inevitable devastation if he ever found out Tom's plans cannot stop him from pursuing political domination.

Severus grunted, annoyed just on principle. It wasn’t that he was being inconvenienced – not at all, really, but it still bothered him when the headmistress had Potter over. It wasn’t even him – he hated all reminders of the past, the war, the before.

A rap on the door had him jumping from his armchair, the hairs on his arms standing up in instinctive caution. Not fear – it wasn’t bad enough for that, but he could sense that whatever was on the other side of his door wasn’t quite right.
Wand drawn, he placed down his whiskey glass and stepped over towards the door. There was no evil or dark magic being cast – yet still, there was something out there. He cautiously opened the door – and came face to face with a familiar if terribly unwelcome smile and bright green eyes.
