If you asked a deeper part of himself, perhaps he'd admit that he'd never been praised like this before. That being called incredible and capable made him feel so many things he'd never dreamed to ever acknowledge. Perhaps he’d dare to say this unknown person he’d never seen in his life was putting him in such a high pedestal, he never wanted to come down.
Hajime wanted to be someone. He wanted to be recognized as someone.
Anyone.
This person thought he was good. They thought he was capable. They liked his reasoning. They thought he was smart. Like he was not some average guy in the reserve course of the school he admired so much, but could never truly belong to.
It felt so good.
He accepted the request before he could second guess anything else.

An overworked Hajime Hinata gets recommended an online game by his best friend in hopes he can detach himself from his studies. He ends up meeting and falling in love with a guy he doesn't know the true name of, but nothing can truly go wrong with that. Hopefully.(Or: online accidental dating komahina)

He would love to justify himself and say it was all Komaeda’s fault. His fault for having nice lips, his fault for kissing so well. He insisted he had no experience, and yet he just had to be lying, because it really seemed like he’d done this countless times before, even during the first time Hajime had pulled him in for an angry make out session he’d broken soon after. He would insist he absolutely did not.
Hajime hadn’t done this either, to be completely honest, as he couldn’t remember his time at Hope’s Peak, and he was too much of an awkward preteen in middle school to actually go that far with anyone else. Given the way kissing came easily, he hoped he were much luckier in a long forgotten past.

He’s taking a long drag from his cup, still lost in thought, when Kazuichi’s voice breaks the tension.
“Dude, just get a sugar daddy! Pay off those loans real quick and get some rent while you’re at it.”
Hajime chokes as the last drops of coffee slide uncomfortably down his throat. Kazuichi’s tone is far too normal for what he just said and it makes Hajime uneasy. Something tells him his friend isn’t joking.
“Kazuichi, what?” Hajime cocks an eyebrow and stares right at the pink haired boy to confirm that, no, he had not been joking.
In which college student Hajime Hinata can't fathom how he'll pay rent, and Nagito Komaeda thinks the only way to make a friend is to pay one.

Hajime believes there are truly very few things in life that can surprise him anymore. As usual, Komaeda is one of them.
Or: Nagito locks himself in a cage, and Hajime finds out he has some deep, forgotten kinks. He is as determined to try and ignore them as he is to help Komaeda. With an internally screaming Hajime and a pining Nagito, shenanigans ensue.
(This is a longer, slow burn canon-compliant post dr3 piece, with a generally fluffy, comforting take on komahina & the cast living on the island. There's pining, a lot of pining. Plot happens. A lot of things happen, actually. Oh, and bdsm. That too :) )
