Written for Avengers Kink. Prompt: "Steve/Tony Marvel Adventures fic. They're on a mission together, and Tony gets hit on the head and gets temporary amnesia, and hits on Steve flagrantly cause he can't remember why not. Steve, knowing of Tony's myriad girlfriends and being slightly out of date with How Orientation Works, thinks Tony's head injury has made him gay, and struggles manfully to prevent himself taking advantage of Tony's altered state. Even when Tony gets his memory back."

Summary
The attack comes unexpectedly, in the middle of a meeting and without his suit.
He manages fine - he's not a child - and, alright, he had a bit of help. But then the roof decides to go and collapse on him.
Good thing Steve was there to jump on top of him before the ceiling did.
Only thing is: now, they're kind of stuck. And while Steve is visibly displeased with the situation, certain parts of him disagree with that consensus.
It's almost impossible not to have a long, hard think about your sexuality when you've got an aroused super-soldier pinned on top of you for an indeterminate length of time. Especially if he's admitting his boner is not exactly coincidental.

Then he discovers it's Tony that he's spent the last few minutes lusting after.
The last thing Steve Rogers ever expected to do was have to develop a way to hide his attraction to Tony Stark. Chanting villain names seems to do it, but how long will that work for?
(Maybe he can also blame the hot tub?)

okay reread this and that initial note was not enough for how amazing this fic actually is“Rocking that despairing combination of low self-esteem but high ego, which shouldn’t even be possible, but that was Tony Stark for you.”
I am so loving this trope of Steve figuring out he’s attracted to Tony stark MANY YEARS after they met while Tony has been harboring this unrequited love in the meanwhile and it’s so stupid and hilarious and god I loved Tony through Steve’s perspective
