Summary
When Castiel Novak returns to his hometown to teach at Garrison High School in the wake of his mother's death, he discovers that there is one thing nearly the entire religious population seems to agree upon: everyone hates the Winchesters. They hate Sam's temper and John's alcoholism and Dean's interminable silence. Castiel is just getting a handle on the whole free will thing, but he's beginning to suspect that he might feel a little bit differently, and the more he learns about the Winchesters, the more he understands that the entire town couldn't hate Dean's silence half as much as Dean himself hates his own words. Supernatural series by co-authors Quantum_Witch and wanderamaranth, starting as a sort of "round-robin" fic and progressing into full-on collaboration. Story begins between 6x17 and 6x18, then goes from there. Destiel-centric. Fuck-tons of research. (And we predicted the Leviathan a season in advance.)
