“It sucks,” Adora agrees offhandedly, blood rushing in her ears. “Go on.”
“I don’t know. Parents? I’ve kinda just skimmed the rest of the page. All the focus on family was annoying.”
Adora shrugs, trying to look and sound nonchalant. “Married couples, too.”

If the stalker is to believe I’ve had a sudden personality shift, you are a much more believable option. Not to mention the social capital you already wield would be more than enough to bolster the investigation. Plus you are...my best friend. I have never had one of those before, so it is not unbelievable that we could end up together.”
Enid swallowed thickly. With her feelings for her roommate, this was probably a bad idea. She should definitely say no.

“What?” Enid asked in that high pitch she always used when Wednesday caught her especially off guard. She paused the movie. “Why would I do that?”
“Because I told them I was in love with you,” Wednesday said plainly.
“Why would you do that?” Enid asked.
Wednesday huffed, frustrated with the way Enid always required such a full explanation to be on board with something. Eugene rarely did this to her.

The raven knew the function of each of those body parts, which muscle would tense up when her fingers pressed against any keycap on her typewriter, she knew what part of her body would relax when she fell asleep, she could even see which muscles would move around as Enid’s claws extended in front of her eyes.
That is why the simple thought of her own muscles moving in an unfamiliar way scared her. Wednesday Addams considered herself an expert in anatomy and yet, the second she locked eyes with Enid, she felt something in her chest unlike anything she felt before.

The large wolf was panting hard right in front of Plum’s face. His huge muzzle was covered in blood and the remains of the hunter, which had also made its way down to his neck into the scarf of longer fur cresting his neck. Plum looked directly into the light eyes of the wolf. His gaze had them pinned in place. The intense look made Plum uneasy, sure. But they didn’t feel like they were in any danger. Even when the wolf dropped the remnants of the hunter out of his huge maw down onto the blood soaked earth. It made a gross wet thud.
“Are you hurt?” the wolf spoke in a low voice, as he began to look plum over for any injuries. "Oh, puppy… you are hurt.”
