Summary
Everyday life at SKZOO LAB is simple: Hwang Hyunjin brings the drama, Kim Seungmin brings the data, and the entire marketing team runs a betting pool on when they’ll finally kiss, because everyone knows they’re in love. Everyone except Hyunjin and Seungmin, of course. For them, the story of daily battles over fonts, stolen coffee and glances held a second too long is purely professional.
Forced to collaborate on the Christmas event, their “professional disagreements”, however, reach new heights of pettiness. Now, the office betting pool is thriving, the emails are lethally polite, and Hyunjin is definitely not falling for the guy in the puppy costume.

Jisung can feel Hyunjin’s eye roll without looking in his direction. “A heat assistant, hyung. There’s rut assistants too, you know. It’s totally normal.”(or: Jisung's heats are becoming unbearable, and at Hyunjin's suggestion, tries out an app that assigns heat assistants. His assistant is the last person he'd expect.)

Summary
Quiet rustling revealed that the human rose to his feet and Jisung counted the other's steps to ten before he slowly dared to open his eyes again. The gray floor in front of him was empty. What a relief!
The ground was hard, uncomfortable, and so, so cold. Jisung was cold. He pulled his arms between his torso and legs, hiding his hands in the sweater sleeves that were too wide for his frame. One hand moved to pet his tail, but the self-soothing gesture had long lost its effect, no matter how well he avoided the bald and wounded patches all over his tail.
Steps approached, two people this time, and Jisung let out a quiet whimper. Why couldn't they just leave him alone?
One of them gasped, then hurried closer, dropping to his knees. "What happened to you, darling?"
Or: Jisung gets out of an abusive household only to end up in some homeless shelter. The next day, he is advised to go to a place where hybrids can receive help. What he had not expected when he set foot into that place was an offer for a place to stay and seven men who promise him a chance to heal, both physically and mentally.

Summary
“Who was your greatest love and why did you fall in love with them?” Minho doesn’t know if he can bear to watch any more of this video. Whatever answer Jisung gives is bound to break his heart. Mesmerised and scared, he can’t do much more than watch as a series of emotions quickly flicker across Jisung’s face. Bright and dark at once, he seems to be lost inside his own head for a moment before he looks at the camera and offers a watery smile. Something fragile and vulnerable and devastating. Then, Jisung gets a hold of himself and smiles at the camera again, shy and sweet.
“His name is Minho,” he says through a rough voice, blinking back tears.or nine years after their break up, minho stumbles upon a video where Jisung admits that he was the love of his life. a lot of feelings unravel after that.

Chan looks down at the stack distastefully, the collection of names and ID photos in the top right of the different profiles bleeding into one another.
“Tomorrow,” he mutters. “I have the holiday party tonight.”
Minho sighs. He picks up the stack of folders and fans them out face down.
“Let me simplify it. Pick a card any card.”
OR after choosing music over inheriting the family business, Chan agrees to allow his parents to arrange his marriage. He bargains for one more night of freedom before then.

Seungmin rolled his eyes,
The flame and the light.
He hated how often they got lumped together, “the smart ones.” As if being good at academics put them in the same category. As if Seungmin’s barely-there effort and Minho’s perfect punctuality were the same thing.
Minho was everyone’s favorite.
He smiled like a public service.
He was calm, collected, admirable. Every inch the kind of guy people wanted to be or be with.
Seungmin?
He didn’t smile unless it was a smirk. He corrected professors without blinking. He never raised his hand. Just spoke when he felt like it.
They were two sides of a coin.
One wrapped in gold.
The other sharp enough to cut.

They sat under the cover of the cherry blossom tree, shrouded in vivid pink. Jeongin watched Hyunjin sketch. Every now and then Hyunjin looked up at him and smiled. The light shining in through the gaps in the branches cast patterns across his face.

Two. Four. Eight. Sixteen. He’d worked so hard for so long and he’d ruined it. It didn’t matter what he did, he would never be good enough. Hours and hours and hours of spent hunched over his tablet, over textbooks, pages scattered across his desk, and it still wasn’t enough.

“That’s not what – I’m not –” Jisung took a moment to collect himself, breath stuttering his chest in a way noticeable to Minho as his smile had fallen. “You know I am trans, right?”
One-two-three-four. The tears were already welling in his eyes, vice around his chest crushing his ribs to dust. His palms were still flat on the table, fingers curling in, nails catching on the wood, a splinter lodging itself in his nailbed.OR – Feet sinking into the mud of his life, still in the first steps of his transition, Jisung was not meant for kindness or understanding. Then a red Porsche, a soft smile, hands gripping his. Something better than any love he’d experienced before.

Summary
The acid storm lasted several hours. And over those hours of silent observation, Chan realized he wasn’t studying the Hyunjin’s body because he saw him as an opponent. If he’d been a bit sharper, he would’ve figured that out back in their first fight. Hard times had long since taught him not to beat around the bush, so at some point he just asked straight out:
“What do you want for letting me fuck you?”
The pencil froze on the page. Hyunjin stared ahead for a few seconds, then slowly turned toward him. His lips trembled, and for a moment Chan feared he’d insulted him—but then Hyunjin burst out laughing, tilting his head back. He laughed light and easy—only his eyes were completely glassy, staring blankly into the distance, like his brain was processing two totally different emotions at once. It made Chan uneasy.
Something was off about this guy.
“You don’t have it,” his laughter cut off as abruptly as it began, “So… go fuck yourself. Although,” he grinned slyly, stretching his bright crimson lips, “for a couple cans of food and a liter of clean water, I might be willing to watch.”

Minho was silent for a few beats. Over the radio, a man was crooning about his lost love.
“You don’t want more out of a marriage?”
It was Jisung’s turn to laugh. “What more is there to ask for?”
“Attraction,” Minho’s voice sounded odd, almost reluctant. “Intimacy. You really find him…satisfactory?”
What did Minho know about him, or love, for that matter, anyway? And what right did he have to ask if Seungmin was satisfactory? It wouldn’t be his marriage. It was already hardly his family.
God damn Minho, Jisung thought, for being so cagey. Mysterious.
Unfortunately, if there was one thing he couldn’t resist, it was a mystery.
