Summary
Shane and Rozanov don’t usually work together. In fact, they never do. They work on different client teams, since there’s no need for more than one person at their level in the squad. They’re simply too good. Quite frankly, they cost too much.
So when Scott says that he wants them both to drop whatever they’re working on, because he has this client proposal that’s due on Friday — literally five days from now, Shane’s counted — it’s unprecedented.
Shane has a million reasons why this is a bad idea, waiting on the tip of his tongue. First of all, he’s not sure he actually can work with Rozanov.
He feels panicked at the thought, can feel his tie getting tighter around his neck, threatening to close off his supply of oxygen at any moment.
Scott glances between the two of them, at Rozanov sitting calmly and Shane feeling like he’s about to have a heart attack, and asks, “I assume you two get along okay?”
Rozanov looks across at Shane, licks his lips slowly before he speaks. “We are very close.”

Henry claims it was an accident.
Not including someone in an email chain, when the someone is Alex and the email chain is the link and deadline for submitting your department’s budget request for the next financial year, that’s fucking sabotage.
So not only did Alex miss out on the chance to request an increase in budget, which he fucking needs because his team are working incredibly long hours and he needs to hire more people and also find some ways to streamline their processes, he actually lost budget. No new staff this year, no process simplification, just a team that’s overworked and underpaid and mad at Alex about it.
And, okay, Henry did send him a Teams message — so sorry Alex, it was an accident — the day the new budgets were shared and Alex realised he’d missed a cut-off he’d never been advised of. And that was it. Didn’t offer to give Alex part of his own budget, or to loan him an extra staff member to help out. Didn’t even find him in person to fucking talk it out.

Summary
Alex looks up at the wall of cheese in front of him, wide-eyed and overwhelmed.
“Excuse me,” a polite voice next to him says, all posh and fancy. The owner of that voice could probably tell the difference between brie and camembert without needing to read the label. “You're in front of the Manchego.”
Alex glances to his left, to match a face to the accent. It's a very nice accent, and an even nicer face, framed by dark blonde hair that swoops perfectly over his left brow.
Hot Cheese Guy has obviously come straight from work, some kind of office job judging by his tie and button-up, but he’s shed a layer of uptight rigidity somewhere along his commute. The top button is undone, the tie knot loosened around his Adam's apple, and his cufflinks removed so he could roll his sleeves. He looks professional, but relaxed, and Alex is fucking into it.
He sneaks a look at the contents of Hot Cheese Guy’s basket. He's got chorizo wrapped in paper from the in-store deli, cage-free eggs, this rustic olive-riddled sourdough that looks delicious, and what appears to be artisan dog food, full of vegetables and bone broth.

Alex shrugs, in that carefree and charming way he does, as if certain no reasonable person could ever be mad at him.
Henry couldn’t.
The thought of spending a week sleeping alongside Alex and not being able to reach out and touch him — to caress his skin or to run his fingers through Alex’s hair while he sleeps, admiring the way his unruly curls will fall over the pillow – is a tragedy.
This will be torture.
Slow, painful, torture. Like someone had peeked inside Henry’s brain and picked the most painful possible way to torment him, tailored and customised specifically for him.
