“I miss you,” Bokuto says, mournful and tinny over the phone. “Come over this weekend?”
“You just saw me four days ago,” Akaashi reminds, a little amused. He’s going over Tenma’s latest chapter and scribbles out a line of needless dialogue.
“So? That means I’ve been missing you for four whole days!” Bokuto says it like it’s an enormous tragedy. As if four days had felt more like four years. “Don’t you miss me?”
Akaashi is glad Bokuto can’t see how his face flushes with embarrassment.
“Of course I do,” Akaashi says, too softly, with too much feeling. God, how stupid and love-struck he must sound. It’s a good thing Bokuto never seems to notice. “I always— I always miss you.”

It's hard to keep a straight face at that.
Clark's lips curve into a fond smile as he chuckles and shakes his head, leaning back against his seat, a hand rubbing across the nape of his neck.
"Yeah. Maybe I have. The coffee's great here. And the company is really nice." Clark offers a smile as he meets Bruce's eyes, holding his gaze for a beat too long before returning it to his pie.
He doesn't miss the way Bruce's heart rate stutters at his comment.

Or, Clark Kent can't do one night stands, and Bruce is just his usual human disaster.(This story officially ends at Chapter 5.

Liu Qingge was unsure whether the fan, that looked so carefully placed on his table, was a mockery to his loneliness or a promise to salvation. It wasn't there when he left his peak a few days ago.
It was well past dinner time, he wasn’t even sure if Shen Qingqiu was still awake and willing to receive visitors.
He should return the fan tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow he will get a grip on his feelings. Maybe tomorrow the void in his chest will be gone and the coldness in his bones would ebb down and he could find a beast to slay that would make him feel alive even just for a fraction of a moment.
