Shadowheart scoffed as she heard the words come out of Vaelyn’s mouth. “A month ago, you didn’t even know what love was. And now—”
“—And now I do. And now that I am free of my father’s influence, I don’t want another god dictating the way I love people. So, I cannot be with you.” The monk stared down at her feet as she spoke. Shadowheart wanted to scream. She wanted to get on her knees and beg her not to leave, tell her that just because they would have to do things in the shadows didn’t mean Shar would dictate her life.
“Fine. Leave,”

After several minutes of feverish kisses, Achilles breaks them apart, pulling away from Zagreus just enough so that he can murmur the words quietly against his lips:
“Stay with us, Zagreus.”
Zagreus gently smooths out the tangles in Achilles’ hair, picking off the strands stuck to his sweaty skin, and tucks the ringlets behind his ear. Achilles leans into the tenderness, closing his eyes. He sighs to catch his breath, and it sounds like longing.
“Stay with us,” he repeats.
Zagreus is a university student who feels aimless in life. His girlfriend dumped him, things between him & his best friend are weird, and he lacks ambition in his studies, all while the optimistic visions of his generation’s future are becoming lost. Summary
Ellana Lavellan is one of two apprentices to her clan’s Keeper, and not the most skillful of the pair. She expects to be sent away after failing to earn a place as First, but when she stumbles upon an ancient shrine to Fen’Harel and inadvertently summons the Dread Wolf himself, she finds in him a wealth of powerful, forgotten magics. He’ll teach her, if she makes a suitable offering: herself.
Ellana returns to the shrine again and again, summoning Fen’Harel to teach her more, but time works differently on the other side of the eluvian; centuries pass for him while only weeks go by for her.
