Summary
So Peter had a hypothesis about it.
The episodes, he'd admit, were Not Fun, but he'd googled it and they were probably nothing. Just his body growing, his DNA mutating. An inconvenient side-effect of being a friendly neighbourhood, spider-themed vigilante, with an undetermined and probably unhealthy amount of radiation bouncing round in his genetic code.
It was really, honestly, no big deal. Really. Everything was fine.

He groans, the throbbing in his head astronomical out of this world, and he knows he’s laying on some stone ground that’s wet and disgusting and not at all comfortable, but the throbbing and the pain is so huge and horrible that he just wants to keep his eyes closed and fade back into unconsciousness.
But he knows he can’t do that.

Peter felt strange… that was the only way he could describe waking up. Everything in his body was heavy as his eyelids slowly worked to open. Peter grunted in annoyance. He always hated being confused and tired. It reminded him so much of waking up from the countless amount of surgeries he’d had. He remembers tensing all of his body, trying his best to figure out exactly which part of his body was the repaired part.

His phone rang, echoing around the small bathroom and causing him to flinch. He answered the phone and put it on speaker without looking at the Caller ID. He grabbed an extra roll of toilet paper, thinking that, if he had a prayer of making it home, he had to at least staunch the blood flow. “Hello?”
“Hey, kid, are you still here?”
This was worse.Or, after landing the plane on Coney Island in "Spider-Man: Homecoming", Peter isn't as unscathed as he likes to think he is.

Peter wakes up to white noise, static, a weight in his head that makes him feel like he'll never stand up straight again. His whole body is a wreck and every breath he takes is full of nails and pain. He can barely move.
Tony's face is the first thing to come into focus. If the blurry outline of him can be called focus.
"Tell me before May gets in here," Tony says, gravely serious. He rests his hand gently on Peter's shoulder. "I'm giving you that chance. What's going on?"
Peter knows he can't hide it anymore. He wants to sigh, but it hurts too much. Everything hurts too much. It shouldn't hurt this much.
