    Summary

Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano scored a stoppage-time winner to send the United States to the Women's World Cup. Unfortunately, it was such a vital goal that it made her a symbol of American exceptionalism, rather than a soccer player. To the internet, she's everything all at once: the perfect American captain, an ungrateful Puerto Rican immigrant, a political DEI statement, a role model, a fraud, straight, gay, patriotic, Anti-American... Everyone seems to know exactly who she is except for, perhaps, Reyna herself.

Thalia Grace has the opposite problem.
England's dyke, sharp-tongued striker has spent being called cocky, controversial, and impossible to manage (their Red-Card Queen). The headlines never ask whether they're right. They simply assume they are.

When an accidental meeting in Lyon turns into a one-night stand, and late-night drunken conversations that neither of them can seem to forget, the line between professionalism and understanding seems to blur. But as the tournament progresses towards an inevitable USA-England semifinal, the media has already decided who the heroes, villains, and lovers are supposed to be.

Too bad nobody asked the women actually living it.

    Summary

But then Leo’s grabbing him again, fingers digging into the fabric of his jersey as he raves on about the game outcome.

And well, right then, nothing really mattered. Because Leo’s laughing, his touch warm on Jason’s skin. And Jason’s smiling, the happiest he’s been all season. Maybe even all year.

In this moment, despite the move, the new school, the new friends. Despite the fact Jason had felt like his entire world was crashing around him, and there was nothing he could do to stop it, everything just felt right.

    It felt like he belonged

Or, Jason Grace is forcefully shipped off by his father to Texas to live with his estranged older sister. Despite the fact it was meant to be a punishment, Jason soon finds that it was actually a blessing.

    Summary

Will was not a warrior, or a front line fighter. He was definitely not the best candidate for a quest.

Will hoped he will spend his entire miserable demigod life with no prophecy or quests looming above him.

    Fates had other plans.

    Or,
Will solace is reluctantly dragged to be part of the seven, and joins the argo two adventure

Or, will solace as 8th member of argo two

I suck at summaries, be nice and give it a go

    What to expect,
    • will solace knows he can glow, also suspects the plague power thing but hasn't used it yet
    • solangelo, but slowburn, poor boy Nico is kidnapped right now
    • picks up at mark of athena
    • Valgrace because why not
    • if you have read TBM, you will know why I am reluctant to ship Jason and Piper
    • so Piper is with Reyna, because I cannot leave a good lesbian enemies to lovers story
    • this is harder than I thought

The view of New York City made Percy Jackson feel powerful- as if he was bigger than the world itself. As if he was bigger than all his problems.
Piper McLean would be her own person.
Jason Grace's life was a lie.
After his father's death, Will Solace didn't believe in much.
Annabeth Chase planned to be remembered.
Frank Zhang was raised as a solider, like his parents. He would probably die as a soldier, like his parents.
Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano was ten years old when she killed her father.
Leo Valdez's broken bones and burnt skin didn't hurt half as much as the fact that his mother was gone.
Grover Underwood was always good at reading people. He learnt how to as a kid, stuck in hospital, trying to read the doctors' reactions.
Rachel Elizabeth Dare had always wondered where she belonged- and if she would ever truly get to stay there
