“I’m always right,” Magnus muttered, before capturing Alec’s lips in another gentle kiss. His lips pulled into a tiny smirk when he felt Alec’s hand on the back of his neck, pulling him in closer, and Alec’s tongue grazing over his bottom lip. Magnus was just about to test the waters for turning their gentle, lazy kisses into something a tiny bit more passionate, when they were interrupted by an all-too familiar high-pitched yelling coming from Max and Rafael’s room.

When Magnus has to go away on a business trip to wintery London, Alec makes sure he won't get cold.
Growing up in the Institute had taught Alec a lot of things. Most importantly, to always have warm clothes at hand as soon as the weather became chilly. The concrete walls of the Institute may be a perfect shield against the heat during summer, but they absorbed every bit of warm air inside as well. So warm clothing during winter it was. For Alec, that didn’t really pose as a problem, he had long gotten used to low temperatures in the Institute.
Magnus, however, was an entirely different story.

When a young, inexperienced warlock trains her magic, things are bound to go wrong. Unfortunate for Alec Lightwood, he is right there when they do.
The book was floating over the two of them, still surrounded by purple magic, when the sound of a car crash and other cars honking came through the open window, and Madzie startled. Her magic pulled back at once, making the book fall towards the floor. Which would not have been a problem per se, if Alec hadn’t been standing right beneath it.

Magnus was just about to push the potatoes into the oven when they heard a key turning in the lock and a few seconds later, the sound of familiar steps on carpet, alongside a tired “Hello!” coming from the hallway. And from one second to another, cooking with Magnus seemed no longer interesting for Madzie.

Magnus shook his head firmly and pulled Alec back onto the mattress. “No way. You are not going anywhere today. Sorry to break it to you, Alexander, but you look like death and – “ He reached out one more time to feel Alec’s temperature, just to be sure, “yup, and you have a fever. You’re staying in bed today.”

After that nightmare of a cabinet meeting, Alec goes back to his room and remembers better times with Magnus – like the one time when they got those photo booth pictures done. Tons of hurt, a bit of fluff and a happy ending – enjoy!
Alec sighed deeply when he strode over to the desk and picked the photos up, running his thumb over his favorite one. When his eyes started prickling with unshed tears again, he blinked them back and then sat down on his bed, the strips of photos still in his hands. He ran a hand through his hair and then, even though he knew better, let his heart win over his head as he dove into the memory of the day when they had gotten those pictures taken. -

Alec clenched his teeth together and blinked rapidly as he tried to hold back the tears that he felt prickling up in his eyes. They were tears of anger and tears of disappointment. Alec shook his head, trying to get those toxic thoughts out of his head. He quickly checked if there were cars coming, then crossed the street and continued his strides towards a certain glamoured apartment in Brooklyn Heights, towards the one and only person he wanted to see right now.
