Steve never wanted to be a kid that came from a broken home, but it breaks anyway. Max never wanted to be replaceable, but she has to rebuild her life in Hawkins all the same. Their parents might be dragging them along for the change, but Steve and Max figure out the step-sibling thing on their own for the most part.

Jonathan's job is tense, and pays worse than The Hawk, but at least waking up is nice.
The summer couldn't be over soon enough for Nancy, so she's eager to pass the time with her favorite people.

The whole point of Nancy letting herself get abducted by a government lab she knew was spying on her family was that she wasn't going to let herself get pushed around anymore. Not by Dr. Owens, and not by Murray Bauman. Nancy knew who she was.

Truly amazing take on a classic st trope. Has a fantastic balance between show canon and divergence, where maybe things don’t change, but Steve will try anyway. Has descriptions for powers that are so vivid they practically create a new language.
