Tommy hasn't seen or spoken to his brothers in almost seven years. And it was supposed to stay that way. In fact Tommy wasn't ever supposed to see or speak to his brother until they apologized to him. Or at least that's what he thought.
Now in his senior year in the most prestigious school in the country due to a very strange set of circumstances, Tommy is shocked to find his out his brothers are coming home a semester early and are going to be staying at home with him again.
With his whole world shaken and his perfectly crafted world crumbled by this news, Tommy figure out how to manage his knew home life with his current school life.
Not to mention he's also part of the school theatre program that is much more demanding than anything he's ever done before.
Tommy has to make it through his last semester of high school, last show with the school that has done so much for him and now his entire schedule and life has been thrown to the wind by his family. And why are they acting like nothings wrong?

The first time that Tom Watson dyed his hair he was nine years old. It was an alarmingly loud red, something that made the young boy absolutely ecstatic. It was something that no responsible adult would have allowed such a young kid to do, not only because of the bold color but for the fact that he himself did his own hair.
But, Tommy had no responsible adult that paid him any mind so when the young boy was grabbing his own groceries, clutching his father’s credit card in his pocket as if it would disappear if he let go, and he saw the hair dye that was most definitely not on the grocery list, the young boy just had to get it.

For when Tommy was just a young boy, he killed Thomas Watson to become Tommy Innit. Since his mother died, too young to remember, and his brothers left to leave him with a father who was never there, Tommy learned to grow up on his own. He got his own job, supported himself in school, and day by day he grew more and more.
But then Wilbur and Technoblade return and Tommy's entire world he's built for himself comes crashing down. -

Their hands clapped, the first runner stopping while the second runner continued the sprint.
That beautiful, harmonious, single note continuously resonated in Tommy’s ears, echoing through his ear canals as he sat there on the carpet, utterly stunned yet fascinated.
Single handedly, that moment convinced Tommy to get into Stride.

The doorbell chimes cheerfully, and Wilbur draws his attention to the door.
“That’s probably the pizza.”
“Yeah, I’m sure it is. I’ll get it.” Wilbur plucks Techno’s wallet from the side table and crosses the space between the living room and the front door, nudging his shoes aside in favor of answering the door.
Wilbur opens the door, creaky hinges and all, and stops. Gilded in the moth light is a boy- young and old at the same time, a golden halo dirtied and worn. His eyes are familiar- a sight he had not seen in three years time.
Wilbur stares at his little brother, who stares right back. Then he shifts, taps a toe on the ground, and clears his throat.
“I didn’t.. I didn’t know where else to go.”

Three years ago Wilbur's foster brother ran away without a trace. Wilbur never quite got over it, but was forced to move on with his life, certain he'd never see him again- until Tommy reappears on his doorstep one fateful Tuesday. Healing ensues.

Summary
It doesn’t look like much when you look from the surface, a river. An unbroken plane of water, traveling with single-minded intention until it reaches the sea. It goes along constantly, steadily, purposefully, with little care to the whims and wills of little humans. In theory you can try to stop it, try to keep the weight of the water contained, using dam and dike and levee and lock, but in practice you can really only redirect the stream. And even then, the water will always win.

That was a good question, Tommy thought blearily. Sam knew him better than anyone, and he was allowed to say whatever he wanted because he was so brave all the time.

For a few days after the fact, it’s quiet—or, as quiet as things get for members of the most successful band in the last fifty years. It’s almost normal, like Tommy can close his eyes and pretend that today he’ll go into the studio to rehearse, and they’ll all be there waiting for him, Wilbur with his easy grin and Phil with his hand on Tommy’s shoulder and Techno with his begrudging fondness.
It’s almost like nothing bad ever happened.
And then the news breaks, the first stone in an avalanche, the first ripple spreading outwards, the first headline of dozens, hundreds, thousands.
