Summary
The sound of Lucanis finally breaking down, thinking he would never see Rook again, was a sound Bellara never wanted to hear again. It was a sound of anguish and pain and loss, and such deep sorrow that even Spite couldn't crawl out of it.
Bellara couldn't do much but hold him as he cried. Spite couldn't do much but rage at the loss of their Rook. And Lucanis couldn't do anything, except continue the fight.
Rook was gone. The fight is all that remained.
