“I know,” Leorio says, and it’s too soft and too knowing. “That’s why I’m asking.”
And just like that, whatever was keeping Killua’s rage and fear restrained bursts open, and he’s jumping up from the table, chair legs scraping harshly against the kitchen floor as he does.
“What part of ‘I don’t fucking care’ are you missing here?” he snarls. “Let’s be honest–the only reason we’re spending this godforsaken holiday together is because Kurapika and Gon are both overseas right now. You don’t like me, I don’t like you, so what’s the point in pretending otherwise?”

Summary
York New city is loud, even during the night. It’s constantly noisy, cars loudly rolling through the streets, the idle chatter of the bustling nightlife. It’s always loud, and it’s very, very distracting.
Kukuroo mountain was silent. Any noise came from inside the house, and because of the silence, Killua was always able to wake up to any of his family members sneaking up on him in the night.
It becomes immediately apparent, on the first night in their new little apartment, that should someone sneak in, he would not wake up to them. The streets outside are simply too loud. Killua’s senses are keen, keener than most, but even he wouldn’t be able to hear an intruder before it was too late to do anything.

All except for Killua. He stays curled up in the living room chair, wrapped in a fluffy blanket, a cold rag on his forehead as he watches Gon play games. He hasn’t gotten even a little bit better in the week since he’d originally caught whatever bug this is. If anything he seems to be getting worse.
“I’m really worried about him,” Leorio tells Kurapika, both of them standing in the boys’ doorway, watching Killua’s chest rise and fall. His breathing doesn’t sound too bad, but it could absolutely be better.
“I’m sure he’ll get over it,” Kurapika says, leaning into Leorio’s arm. “Some people are just hit harder than others, right?”

Cas doesn’t even look up from his plate, his mouth full of baklava and some stray flakes of phyllo dough sticking to his lips when he says, “Yes.”
Dean feels more than sees Sam go very still across the table, forkful of salad and grilled chicken poised in midair.
