Neither of which knows exactly what to do with that, especially after the fight that revealed parts of themselves they’d both rather keep out of sight. It’s awkward at best, and it only spirals from there.

Summary
Caine has realized that the “audience” for the circus (the audience doesn’t exist, y’all) is mostly adults who think the circus is TOO family-friendly. Therefore, while they are not required, there is now room for “mature themes”. (this means that they can swear and have sex. They figure the first one out right away. The second one takes a minute.)
So Caine starts sending them on slightly raunchier adventures. (they’re really barely any different by principle, but they get steadily worse as the characters figure out what they’re capable of.)
Hijinks ensue.

“I’m home!” Kyo called out, dropping his bag on the floor. He kneeled down to begin taking off his shoes. “Sorry I’m late, my phone died and my afternoon class went to hell.” Out of the corner of his eye, he could see that Tohru had come to stand in the doorway.
“That’s okay, Kyo. Welcome home!”
The first thing Kyo saw when he looked in Tohru’s direction was that she wasn’t wearing her slippers. His eyes trailed up her bare calves (that wasn’t unusual, she usually wore skirts), up her bare thighs (more unusual, how short was this skirt?), until he finally realized what he was seeing.
Tohru Sohma, his wife, standing in the doorway to their living room wearing nothing but some very skimpy orange lingerie.

His hand remained on her cheek as he looked into her eyes, the cool night breeze gently blowing through their hair. Slowly, he leaned in for a kiss. This was familiar. They had kissed many times in the past few weeks. All of them just sweet brushes of lips, only several seconds each time.
But as Kyo pressed his lips against hers, Tohru could tell that this time felt different. This one was somehow filled with more urgency and fire than all the previous kisses that they had shared.
"I love you," he breathed the words into her lips.
She whimpered. She couldn't help it. The words, the emotions, the sweet night air; it was all having a strange effect on her. All at once, she felt bold.

Change can be drastic. Change can bring tidal waves of unprecedented events. Change, however, can also be small. It can be the small dragonfly that zips across a pond, hovering over lily pads and darting between cattails. A small ripple over the water, just barely brushing the stalk. So far, every change has managed to be both.
It was bliss.
Until it wasn’t.
While so many things had changed, not everything did. Many of the previous Zodiac still found themselves facing milder versions of the problems they’d had. Haru was still quick to change his attitude, nowhere near as severe but still noticeable. Ayame was quick to put on a jacket when a breeze would go by. Kagura remained as stubborn as ever. Even Yuki still had problems with his lungs. Albeit milder and not as easily induced.
Kyo still didn’t like the rain.
