At last, Alfred looks at him with something akin to mercy. “Frankly, I think Master Rayner is a fine young man, and I’m sure you will think so, too, once you meet him, Master Bruce. I fail to see the problem.”
Bruce can’t believe Alfred is making him say that, but, through the gritted teeth, he speaks, “You know who he is… associated with.”
When it becomes clear he isn’t going to elaborate, Alfred raises his eyebrows again. “Ah, you mean Hal Jordan, sir?”
Bruce suppresses a shudder that goes through him. “Don’t mention his name out loud, Alfred. It was bad enough I saw him today and found out from him.”

In which one Bruce may be just a little biased when it comes to his children dating people associated with his not-friends. (It's not a good kind of a bias.)

“Did he just say that you two are married?” Nightwing asked, a strange mix of elated and hurt. “Why wasn’t I invited to the wedding?!”

Summary
The last time Dick saw Jason in civvies he was 14, short for his age and all chubby, rosy cheeked enthusiasm. He’s none of those things now - broad shouldered and tall, eyes sunken above hollow cheeks, skin as grey as the granite headstone before him.
No guns or helmet or body armour in sight and Dick is glad for it, but Jason looks strangely diminished without them. If Dick didn’t already know that this was the same person that fearlessly led Batman and Nightwing on a meticulously premeditated gauntlet across the city a fortnight ago, he never would have guessed.

Dick has lost track of how many falling-outs he and Bruce have had over the years. Fighting with Batman is part of the Robin gig. It’s a prerequisite for the position.
“Yeah?” Jason challenges bitterly. “You ever killed a guy?”
