Summary
Kyle was just so damn endearing, it was hard to keep his emotions suppressed around him. Especially when he did something as adorable as just simply interlocking their fingers and pulling him closer to tuck their hands into his pocket. It was such a new sensation, being so infatuated with another man, but in a weird way he liked it. He liked being able to just feel for a person, to enjoy their company and even their kisses freely without any labels or complications. He'd always strived for routine all his life, but Kyle had changed that for him. He'd enabled him to take risks, to just allow himself a moment to breathe rather than constricting himself to a rigid schedule. He was a breath of fresh air into his life that Craig didn't know he needed.

Summary
Kyle had always known he was never fit to be king.
"Kyle," Stan said, a bit croaky, "I'd do anything to keep you safe. Even run away with you. I'm loyal to you first, and the kingdom second. No matter what happens, who you become, whoever you make your enemy, I will always fight for you, by your side. I will be who you need me to be no matter the circumstance. I don't know what we're going to do, honestly. But as long as we have each other, I think we could achieve it."
They both locked eyes once again, and while Stan's tone was laden with exhaustion, the determined gleam in his gaze was more than enough cause for the back of Kyle's neck to flush. He always felt oddly scrutinized under Stan's gaze whenever they both made eye contact, but the sensation of being looked at with so much adoration and passion was so addicting, he could never bear to look away.

Silence. The wind howls softly. Stan draws a little heart the size of a bee on the snowed-on bench. Pokes a circle in the middle of it.
